Hopefully the link works. At about 1:51:15, Jack Ewins stated when writing the websites (probably DPG), they made it so that JPTG could be canon, but only if you wanted it to be. They made it so that there was support for both sides, canon or not canon to the films. Just something I figured some people might like to keep in the back of their mind.
So, what does this mean? It’s both canon and not canon?
I will take JPTG as canon, and I’m pretty glad they did this so that both sides, canon or not canon, can be supported.
I'm taking it as canon as well. This is all very interesting. And besides, this makes sense since most if not all Telltale games are not meant to be 100% canon.
It's canon if you think it is, and not canon if you don't think it is. Jack Ewins said he didn't think it was, but the other writer, Tim, does think JPTG is canon. So they wrote it to appeal to both sides. Like including info that happened in The Game without being incredibly specific, so people that don't think The Game is canon or haven't even heard of it don't have to worry.
