As much as I like Blue's movie design the accurate design is just perfect
I absolutely love the accurate version of Blue (such a gorgeous design, no doubt), but for this franchise, Blue’s movie version.
I went with the accurate version out of personal preference; not to diss her movie design, though.
In terms of continuity: movie variant.
Michael Crichton made the dinosaurs as accurate as possible in the novels, but one of the ideas from the novels is that we don't know how accurate the cloned dinosaurs are. Heck we don't know for sure how all dinosaurs actually behaved or looked like, the fossil record also doesn't include every single species to have ever walked on Earth.
Well, Crichton’s T. rex and raptors had forked tongues, the Dilophosaurus had venom spit, the Carnotaurus in the sequel had chameleon camouflage.
All the stuff is theoretical, and dinosaurs could have potentially have those characteristics... or the frogs jacked them up
@Dinosaurus1 Exactly what I meant by we don't know how accurate the dinosaurs are. In the novel they didn't know the Dilophosaurus had venom spit until they saw them hunting mice. The Carnotaurs camouflauge ability may or may not be due to genetic manipulation. Once we found out that frog dna was the reason why dinosaur numbers were increasing it also means that some of the dinosaurs abilities may not not be natural. But we don't know for sure. We never will. It's up for interpretation.
I mean as someone very passionate about paleontology and accuracy. The fact that the " accurate " blue has colours that should cause it to overheat and die in the gobi desert makes me want to go with movie blue. Because at least it wasnt supose to be accurate.
What do you think?
