I was planning to talk about this a few days ago, but since here the subject was touched again, I would like to clarify things more, since there's many speculation around this
(In this post there will be no speculation of any type)
I'll take screenshots directly from the movie to clear your doubts
(I'm not saying you're obligated to believe me, anyway is literallty what we see in the movie)
Dinosaurs were moved to their cages via 3 entrances by elevator to the two known cage rooms (this elevator even wouldn't exist by logic, bruh)
Now, there are no more than two cage rooms, since on the monitors we only see 2 registered, and if there is, it must have been a production error not to place it, since both cage rooms are seen in the film
.The first cage room is where we see Claire and Owen free the dinosaurs, and from where the emergency door is accessed, through which the dinosaurs escape
This is the map of the basement and it's incomplete, obviously
Now, what dinosaurs are in contaiment facility 1?
Cage ??? Stygimoloch, a side from Ankylosaurus cage
Cage 1-2 Ankylosaurus
Cage 2-3 Gallimimus
Cage 3-4 Sinoceratops
Cage 4-5 Parasaurolophus
Cage 6-7-8 Triceratops and her baby
When Claire open cage 1 lock, we see the Ankylosaurus, and just before that we see this view, which shows us that row of cages, there we see what dinosaurs are, and as you see, they match. Also, can add that a side the Ankylosaurus cage, there's a Stygimoloch cage, that would be 9-10 or 0-1, BUT i don't know that with accuracy, so i don't count it. Seein it again, i would say that cage wouldn't exist too
The same place, another view, where is that cage?
You can see the horns, but i recommend take a watch on the movie for see it clearly
Now we go to the contaiment facility 2...
Cage 16-17-18 Triceratops
Cage 15-14 Ankylosaurus
Cage 13-14 Owen and Claire
Cage 13-12 Stigymoloch
Cage 12-11 ?
However, there's unknown cages, like 8-9, 9-10, 11-10 and 11-12, yeah, four cages free, and as always, look on the numbers of the cages from the images, i'm not assuming anything, that's what we see in the movie.
These scenes have strange details, as on the basement map, you can see... open cages? How? What do you mean, there are cages open before the dinosaurs are released?
Look up, there are 3 signs that should be red, but instead they're green, just like when Claire opens the Ankylosaurus cage
We know one of the rare "open cages" it's the cage n.16, yeah, the triple cages of the first Triceratops family we see.
By the way, there are people who think that the Triceratops families we see are the same, but they are not
This is the family that is in cages 16-18, and as you can see, they are two adults, not one, the first one we see is in lot 16, which can be seen from Claire and Owen's cage, the other adult Trike is at the end of the cage, in lot 18
The other Triceratops family is on the 6-8 triple cage, from contaiment facility 1
These are the another Triceratops and his baby, and if you look alright, you will see the "04" on the other cage from Parasaurolophus is coming.
Talking about this 4-5 Cage... There's a goof here. Before Owen and Claire go to the basement and see what's happening, a Sinoceratops is in that cage, but later, when the dinosaurs gets out, we see a Parasaurolophus getting out from that cage, thing that doesn't make any sense, and the worst part is that the cage 3-4 is being open, but the Sinoceratops is outsite when only a few moments ago he had been moved from cage and replaced by another dinosaur... WHAT
Anyways, gonna talk about the "others dinosaurs", basically the Apatosaurus, Carnotaurus, etc, the ones that come from the doors aside the control room.
We don't know exactly that other dinosaurs might have been there, it may be perfectly another cage room, but, it's not recorded on monitors, which is rare. Now,
I'll avoid theorizing anything, since I don't want to speculate anything, In this case it is unnecessary, since possibly the basement will never be shown again and it is the most logical thing to pass, besides that any species can be justified at this point
What if we're sure of, is that there was at least one other compartment of dinosaurs inside the basement, which is from which the Carnotaurus, Apatosaurus and other dinosaurs come out, it is logical to think about it, since from the cameras we see that there are more double cages, and in facilities 1 and 2 there are only two cages of that type, and they would be the triceratops.
Conclusion: Lockwood's basement is useless because in Dominion we'll see at least 60 more species of dinosaurs that weren't there
