A Way Out is the ninth chapter in the Sixth Configuration of The Lost World. As Velociraptors keep pounding the door and biting the structure, Kelly finds a unusual way out.
Plot[]
Doc Thorne slams his body weight against the attacking Velociraptor and yells for Richard Levine to help who in turn shouts he was right that the store's structure was weak. Levine further calls Kelly Curtis to scan the computer to find them a way out. As more raptors attack all sides of the structure, Arby Benton also tells Kelly to concentrate, yet she does not listen and presses buttons resulting in a distorted screen. Arby cries she did something incorrect and Levine again tells her to find a way out. Thorne has successfully shifted the refrigerator against the door, however Levine learns that only Sarah has the Lindstradt rifles in her car. He further checks the restrooms and yells the raptors are there. Kelly now sees a rotating cube on the screen and find she cannot stop it. As Arby tells her to focus and others yell, she wishes Harding was there to guide her. She recalls that Harding told her that most information people tell her is incorrect. As Arby says "it's important", she feels the cord underneath the desk and rolls underneath the desk, removes the panel, and as the raptors enter the store, the group escape into a tunnel.
