Comics[]

Allosaurus, like in the filmsl, does not appear in any story from the initial trilogy, film or otherwise. However, before it’s appearances from Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom & onward, Allosaurus would make fairly significant roles in the last two comic series before Jurassic "Park" was changed to "World".

Jurassic Park: Redemption[]

Issue #3 & #4[]

Allosaurus is revealed to be one of the carnivores secretly created by Dr. Henry Wu under the orders of Peter Ludlow aka L. Would and were released on the unsuspecting town of Glen Rose, Texas. The Allosaurus attacked the vehicle that Dr. Alan Grant was in, destroying it and forcing Grant to try to flee on foot. However, the Allosaurus manages to corner him. But, before it can kill Grant, it's lassoed by Dr. Backer (which is probably an intended nod to the classic dinosaur film Valley of Gwangi.) An Allosaurus also chases Tim before deciding to chomp down on the town sheriff instead. After which, it decides to leave. Leaving the wounded sheriff to be tended to by the other characters. Notes:

  • Like many of the dinosaurs in the redemption series, Allosaurus has no defining features in its design aside from a retro tripod stance.
  • It is unknown what happens to the Allosaurus like many of the other dinosaurs.
  • A flashback sequence shows Henry Wu among various dinosaur cages, with supposedly Allosaurus being one of the dinosaurs inside.

Jurassic Park: Dangerous Games[]

Issue #1[]

Allosaurus was one of the dinosaurs created by InGen for Jurassic Park in the comic series Jurassic Park: Dangerous Games. After the Isla Nublar Incident it became a wild species like most of the dinosaurs. During CIA agent Daniel Espinoza's time on Isla Nublar, an Allosaurus attacks him, in an attempt to steal the Parasaurolophus he hunted. He had downed as a means to feed himself. However, he is saved from the large theropod by Dr. Frances White's Velociraptor pack that kills the Allosaur.

Notes:

  • Allosaurus is never mentioned to have been one of the species cloned by Ingen. However, a skull is engraved into the decorative walls of the control room in the first movie.

Issue #5[]

Two more Allosaurus later appear towards the end of Espinoza's mission. The pair attempt to chase his dirtbike and kill him, but the agent is able to escape from the dinosaurs and catches his helicopter to escape the island, with the dinosaurs watching him depart. Notes:

  • The allosaurs on the cover of the issue have notably more slender snouts than the ones in the story.
