The Amber Mines are located under Biosyn's valley at the Dolomites Mountain range of Italy.
Description[]
Not much is known about the mines, but as the name suggests, they offer amber to Biosyn, which is used for obtaining prehistoric DNA. The mines are connected through tunnels. Dimetrodon are known to live in those mines.
Story[]
When Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Maisie escape through the hyperloop train, the transport is stopped, unbeknownst to them, by Lewis Dodgson. Grant opens the door, and they find themselves in the mines and try to find a way out. While trying to find a way out, they are attacked by Dimetrodons.
When they find an exit, the gate is locked. However, Ian Malcolm shows up and tries to unlock it by trying different codes. Back at the control room, Ramsay looks to a security camera and sees the predicament and proceeds to type in a code that unlocked the gate right when Ian pressed the code he thought was right.
Due to the wildfire caused by the burning locusts, the sanctuary's dinosaurs were herded to emergency containment into the research facility. It's unknown if Dimetrodons were part of that batch as they were locked up in the mines.
