Asfaltomylos is a genus of mammal from the clade Australosphenida that lived during the Early Jurassic in what is now Argentina. The type and only species is Asfaltomylos patagonicus. It is named after the Canadon Asfalto Formation, where its fossil was recovered. Inhabitants of this formation include Piatnitzkysaurus, Patagosaurus, and Argentoconodon: a genus of mammal related to Volaticotherium.
Asfaltomylos was the first Jurassic mammal to have been discovered.

Asfaltomylos appeared in a news from Jurassic Park Institute about the first Jurassic mammal to be discovered in South America. It isn't named, though.[1]
