Austin was an Asset Containment Unit commander at Jurassic World on Isla Nublar during the 2015 Jurassic World Incident.
Biography[]
Along with Katashi Hamada, he and his team were sent to catch the Indominus rex. After the creature ambushed them, killing Hamada, Austin attempted to subdue it with a net launcher, resulting in the death of Lee when the Indominus caused a tree to fall on him and crush him. Austin and a fellow soldier then dragged an injured comrade to safety while Miller covered them by shooting at the creature. He survived the entire ambush and later appeared along with Meyers and a number of park rangers when Main Street was attacked by pterosaurs, helping to subdue the creatures.

Austin carried a CODA All-Purpose Net Gun with the intent of capturing the Indominus rex alive which proved futile as it clawed its way out of it.
