The Bell 407 is a helicopter. It is a "stretched" - long-bodied - aircraft derived from the earlier Bell 206L LongRanger, distinguishable from its predecessor by its four rotor blades.
A Bell 407 using the callsign "Jurassic One" also features in the Jurassic World video game Darius Bowman plays. It is used as the extraction chopper at the end of the game. After getting past Velociraptors and a Tyrannosaurus rex, the player gets aboard and is flown safely off of Isla Nublar, winning the game.
Kenji Kon arrived at Isla Nublar aboard a black 407.
Hawkes' men also use a Bell 407 when arriving on the island with Dr. Wu.
Behind the Scenes[]
- "Jurassic One" is also the callsign of Simon Masrani's personal helicopter, JW001. In the fifth episode of Camp Cretaceous, Things Fall Apart, Masrani's helicopter - a Eurocopter EC130 B4 in the film - is incorrectly represented using the same Bell 407 model as the one in Darius' game and the one in which Kenji arrives.
- Similarly, N911DN, a Bell UH-1H-BF Iroquois used by the mercenaries, is depicted as a Bell 407 during the scene where the campers witness Jack's death during the mercenaries' recovery of an Indominus rex bone.
- The helicopters feature elements from both the Bell 407 as well as its predecessor, the 206L LongRanger. It features the LongRanger's tail fins but has the 407's four rotor blades instead of the LongRanger's two. They also feature a few other details not generally found on either model as well. It features a sliding door and a fenestron rather than a tail rotor. This is most likely due to artistic license.
