Bellusaurus (meaning "beautiful lizard") is an extinct genus of sauropod dinosaur that lived in China during the Middle Jurassic period.
This Chinese dinosaur from midway in the Jurassic was an ancestor of truly giant plant-eaters. Like latter and larger four legged herbivores, Bellusaurus was a sauropod. Sauropods had tiny heads and weak teeth. Many relied on stomach stones to help them grind their food.
