The Bowman Incident occured when the rich British family, the Bowmans, stumble across the coast of Site B while on a yacht cruise. Cathy, their young daughter, decides to go exploring on the beach, only for a Compsognathus to come out of a bush. Cathy feeds the "bird" a piece of her beef before a whole pack emerge. Growing more and more aggressive, her screams can be heard by the parents and yacht crew from further up the beach of her being attacked by the compys, thus getting injured. However, she survived. It is implied that her parents sued InGen.[1]
