Brachauchenius is an extinct genus of large, carnivorous pliosaur. It inhabited the world's oceans during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 100 to 90 million years ago. It was one of the last pliosaurs to have roamed the Earth before their extinction. Brachauchenius was not very big compared to Pliosaurus or Kronosaurus.
