What are Captivz?[]

The Jurassic World Captivz toy line was released by ToyMonster, with the first ever licensed wave releasing in 2020. Captivz are mystery eggs that come with slime, a dinosaur, a battle token/collector card and a collector guide. Every dinosaur that has been made in this line has had the "Pop N Lock" feature, which is putting the dinosaur together with the included parts. This is usually easy with most dinosaurs having 1-3 parts which include the head, body, and tail. The slime included is used to be a sticky substance but now is a more non-stick like slime and is packaged separately in the egg from the dinosaur. There are also many rarities among the dinosaurs which include: common, rare, ultra rare, limited edition, and exclusive. Along with this there are three types of eggs that the dinosaurs come in. There is the normal sized egg, which is the most abundant, having the normal small sized dinosaurs. Then there's the medium eggs which include a "supersized dinosaur" that you have to get by digging up their parts through different substances, usually there are also stickers included. Finally, there's the large egg which usually has multiple normal sized, a supersized dinosaur, and multiple activity's/accessories.

How to battle[]

Each dinosaur comes with a battle token or collectors' card which show the animals intelligence and aggression on the back. Player 1 will start off first and choose whether to use intelligence or aggression points. These can vary through 1-5 based on the species chosen. Once Player 1 chooses this Player 2 must use one of their dinosaurs, and based on who has the higher intelligence or aggression will determine who will get the battle rank points. Battle rank points are the score used in the game and whoever has the higher number of points in the end wins. You can see how many battle rank points you will receive by looking at the collector's guide, it is based on the rarity of your figure so if you have an ultra-rare you will receive more points for winning with that instead of a common for example. Once round one is finished you will move onto round two, this time Player 2 chooses their dinosaur first and whether it's going to be intelligence or aggression. This cycle repeats for three rounds total until whoever has the most battle rank points wins. One finale thing to note is that you can use two dinosaurs in one round as long as they are duplicates, which means you can stack their intelligence or aggression points together.
