The Central Intelligence Agency, also known by its acronym CIA, is a civilian foreign intelligence service of the federal government of the United States, officially tasked with gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information from around the world.

Jurassic World: Dominion[]
By 2022, the CIA created the Dangerous Species Division after dinosaurs spread around the globe due to the Lockwood incident in 2018. Many former Jurassic World employees were recruited to the CIA, including Franklin Webb, Lowery Cruthers, and Vivian Krill. Franklin Webb joined the CIA after almost getting shot during an operation with Claire Dearing and Zia Rodriguez at an illegal breeding farm to report it to the DFW.
After Maisie Lockwood was kidnapped by Delacourt, Owen Grady and Claire met up with Franklin outside the CIA's headquarters. They explained to him that Maisie was kidnapped and he put them in touch with Barry Sembène, who now worked for the French Intelligence, and explained that he was working undercover in Malta to take down a dinosaur black market.
