Centrosaurus apertus was a genus of Ceratopsian dinosaurs. Like other centrosaurines, Centrosaurus had a single large horn over the nose. Centrosaurus could reach a length of 6 meters. It lived in Canada during the late Cretaceous period. Many dozens of skeletons are have been identified. In some cases, hundreds of individuals scattered bones have been found; likely as evidence of a mass drowning, in what must have been stampedes across torrentially charged and dangerously stormy rivers in migrational crossings gone wrong.
