"Charlie! Hey...don't give me that shit!"
Owen Grady challenging Charlie to get back in line(src)

Charlie was one of the Velociraptors that are being trained by Owen Grady that appears in Jurassic World. She meets her end when she gets blown up by an InGen Security Trooper after turning on the humans during the assault on the Indominus rex. She was the youngest of the four raptors.

Physical Appearance

In Jurassic World and its official site, Charlie is green with black vertical stripes running down her back.

In Hasbro's Jurassic World toy line, she is the same as her movie depiction but is a darker green.

In all of Charlie's LEGO depictions, she is olive green with dark and light green patches all over her body.

Story

Creation

Charlie was created by InGen as an attraction for the IBRIS Project.[1] She is the youngest of the park's Velociraptor pack consisting of Blue, Delta, and Echo.[2][3] Her skin pattern is the result of using Green Iguana DNA in her genetic coding.[3]In her birth, Owen Grady imprinted on her and trained her along with her siblings.[1]

Isla Nublar Incident (2015)

Just before the incident occurred, Charlie and the rest of her pack attempted to strike Leon, a newly hired Jurassic World employee who had fallen into her pack's paddock, while trying to capture a pig that had escaped its holding pen. However, they were thwarted by their trainer in time to save Leon's life. Later that night, Charlie and her pack were outfitted with infrared cameras strapped to their heads and were used to stop the rampage of the genetic hybrid Indominus rex. When they found the hybrid, the I. rex began to communicate to them, becoming the leader of their pack, giving them the command to kill the humans that were following them. They followed this order and proceeded to attack the humans that were trying to stop the Indominus. Charlie pounced on an InGen Security Division trooper and dragged him away before killing him. While devouring the aforementioned trooper, she saw her trainer Owen Grady, who refused to shoot her. Charlie also hesitated to attack Owen due to their bond, staring at him in a curious matter rather than an aggressive manner. Seconds later, one of the InGen troopers fired a missile launcher at Charlie, killing her. [1]

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

In 2018, Charlie, as already stated to be blown up by a missile, was confirmed dead, alongside Echo and Delta. Blue is the last surviving raptor of the pack. The only time she, Echo, and Delta are shown alive, is in a video of her and her pack being trained by Owen as infants at the beginning of the movie.

Relationships

Blue

Because she was the youngest in Jurassic World's raptor pack, Charlie looked to the pack's leader Blue for guidance and commands during hunts. Charlie had such a high respect towards her leader that she gave up her meals to feed Blue.[3]

Owen Grady

Charlie's relationship with Owen isn't well known. However, when Owen refused to fire at, or harm her, Charlie in turn, simply stared at him, giving out small chirps, shortly before her demise.

LEGO Jurassic World

Charlie appears in LEGO Jurassic World as a playable Velociraptor. Interestingly, this raptor is referred to by Owen Grady as a male, which would've made Charlie the only brother out of four siblings.

Jurassic World: The Game

The Raptor Paddock, along with Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo, were added to the game for battle boosters that can help the player in certain battles. Charlie is for offense, and the player gets either the ability to remove the enemy's blocks or gain extra attack moves from her.

Jurassic World: Alive

Charlie has been confirmed to appear in Jurassic World: Alive as an Rare dinosaur.

Jurassic World

A toy of Charlie was released as a part of the Jurassic World toy line at a retail price of $9 along with her other packmates except Blue.[4] Like the toys of her fellow subordinates Delta and Echo, her toy lacks the sickle claw that Velociraptor had in both the movies and real life.

There is also a Charlie Growler figure. It is a new sculpt, complete with the sickle claws on each foot, and is repainted for the Delta Growler figure.

LEGO Jurassic World

Charlie along with his packmate Echo is included in the LEGO Jurassic World set 75920 Raptor Escape.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Charlie is set to be release as part the "Attack Pack" assortment for the 2019 "Dino Rivals" line.

Behind the scenes

When the Velociraptor siblings are first introduced, Charlie unknowingly hits Echo with her tail twice in the same scene. After that, she and Delta change sides around Blue.

Charlie's death is exactly how one of the Velociraptors cornering John Arnold is killed by Robert Muldoon in the Jurassic Park chapter "Control IX" by being blown to bits by a rocket launcher.

It is odd that when Charlie was killed, none of her blood spattered all over Owen since he wasn't too far from her. This was most likely done to retain a PG-13 rating.

Charlie is the second named raptor to die in the Movie canon, the first being The Big One.

When Owen ran into Charlie in the long grass, the way she had her tail up was just like when the Raptor pack attacked the InGen Hunters in The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

The level 20 raptor in Jurassic World: The Game pays a strong resemblance to Charlie.
