Chip Kidd is a graphic designer who created the Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton design for the original Jurassic Park novel. The design was later carried over into the film franchise and enhanced for the poster with new typeface, border and color choices created by Sandy Collora. He currently works for Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. As well as creating book covers he has also written two novels and several nonfiction books.
