One night after work, Desai is terrorized by the Handler and the Atrociraptor Tiger. The Handler whispers instructions to the terrified man.[1]
Soon afterwards, Gia and Ben Pincus see a news report about Desai suddenly throwing all of his support behind Biosyn having dominion over all dinosaurs. Having both been Desai's students, Gia and Ben are immediately suspicious as Desai was always vocal in class about his opposition to the DPW and one organization having too much power, meaning that he would never support a private company like Biosyn holding such power.[2]
Brooklynn later overhears Dodgson and Soyona Santos talking about Desai and contacts Ben who admits that he suspects that someone had gotten to the professor to get his support on Biosyn's expansion. It's revealed that Santos had the Handler intimidate Desai to secure his support for Dodgson and Biosyn and suggests doing the same thing with a regional counsellor who is giving Dodgson trouble.[3] However, Dodgson then went behind Santos' back to have the Atrociraptor pack kill the counsellor.[4]
Santos later mentions to Brooklynn that Dodgson has yet to pay her for either the DNA samples she gave to him or for intimidating Desai.[5]
