Clarence was a male Velociraptor in Jurassic Park. Alan Grant tranquilized him in self defense, and later used him to show that the dinosaurs were breeding.

Clarence was a green male Velociraptor that was one of the offspring of the wild population of velociraptors living underneath the park.
Alan Grant found Clarence in an underground garage behind an artificial waterfall. Using a tranquilizer gun Grant had recently attained, Clarence is sedated and later used to find the Raptor nest. This Velociraptor had a unique ability to change color, perhaps with emotion; this is much like the Carnotaurus seen in the second novel. He was killed during the Napalm Bombing. Lex cried about his and Ralph's demise.

- Clarence displayed a higher level of empathy, and possibly even intelligence than most other raptors considering that he demonstrated enjoying being pet by Lex, and even going so far as to willingly show the adults where the nest was. Perhaps even one close to that of Blue in the movies.
- It could be possible that the Velociraptor hatchling that comes with Alan Grant in Mattel‘s retro collection was inspired by Clarence.
