The common raven (Corvus corax) is a species of passerine bird and the most widely distributed corvid, found across the Northern Hemisphere. Young birds travel in flock, but later mate for life and defend their territory. They thrive in various climates and are opportunistic carnivores. Researches showed that the common raven was a very intelligent animal.
The common raven has a symbiotic relationship with the wolf. The bird calls the mammal to the site of dead animals, and the wolf opens the carcass and leaves the scraps more accessible to the bird.
