Dentaneosuchus is an extinct genus of sebecid crocodylomorph that lived during the Middle Eocene in what is now the regions of Issel and Réalmont, in France. The species was first described as a new genus of Atacisaurus in 1931. It was also referred to as Iberosuchus in 2018 before it was ultimately named in 2023. Dentaneosuchus was reached a similar size to Barinasuchus, making it one of the biggest sebecids, as well as the biggest predator of Europe during the Cenozoic. It was the apex predator of its environment, preying on other reptiles or mammals like Lophiodon. Crocodylomorphs would lose their spots at the end of the Eocene, for unknown reasons.
