Dinosaur cages, or crates, were designed by InGen to contain and transport the dinosaurs, which were used by the Hunters during the Isla Sorna Incident in 1997 in a attempt to capture live dinosaurs from Isla Sorna and transport them to the ill-fated Jurassic Park: San Diego.
They were used again by the mercenaries in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Types of cages[]
Some of these cages were specifically shaped to contain specific species, such as Stegosaurus and Tyrannosaurus. All of the cages could be opened by a swinging door with simple locks on many of them. Smaller cages were built to house smaller dinosaurs, such as Pachycephalosaurus and Compsognathus, or even infants of larger species.
