Dracorex is a dubious genus of pachycephalosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period. Its name means Dragon King, and its type species is Dracorex hogswartia, named after the Harry Potter Franchise's Hogwarts Academy.
Much like Stygimoloch, Dracorex had large, protruding spikes on the back of its head, with two large horns of three behind the head. It had bumps and a long muzzle, with spikes on its nasal area. Dracorex, like Homalocephale and Goyocephale, had a flat dome, which led to the theory that it and Stygimoloch might be the growth stages of Pachycephalosaurus or, if Stygimoloch is valid, a female Stygimoloch.
