- "Is that Dreadnoughtus?"
"Beautiful, right? Her name means 'fear nothing'. Well, I guess you know that." - —Dr. Alan Grant and Ramsay Cole as they fly past a bathing Dreadnoughtus(src)
Dreadnoughtus is an extinct genus of titanosaur sauropod dinosaur that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous period. It is the most complete titanosaur ever discovered, and is widely considered the heaviest dinosaur to ever exist. The holotype fossil is considered a juvenile, however, so it's likely Dreadnoughtus could grow much larger.

Characteristics[]
This skin of Dreadnoughtus was unclear that it was darker, but it was revealed to have darker orange stripes and brown skin. The clones' appearance was somewhat similar to their genetic template and original counterpart, possessing a typical sauropod's bulky stature and thick elongated neck which could rise up, although not as high as fellow sauropod Brachiosaurus. The cloned Dreadnoughtus apparently are able to chew their food whereas their original counterpart most likely swallowed their food whole and ground it up with gastroliths. This dinosaur was the largest species to be housed in the sanctuary.
History[]
Jurassic World: Dominion prologue[]
During a flashback of the Cretaceous, some Dreadnoughtus were seen near a lake with a flock of Pteranodon and a quartet of Quetzalcoatlus. A giant locust buzzed on and around an individual's legs as it walked over to join its herd.
Jurassic World[]
Dreadnoughtus is one of the animals on the Innovation Center's holographic globe.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom[]
The embryo of a Dreadnoughtus was sold at the Lockwood Manor Auction, and is seen being loaded onto a plane within a briefcase along with other embryos.
Jurassic World: Dominion[]
Dreadnoughtus were cloned sometime before 2022 by Biosyn and resided in the Biosyn Sanctuary located in the Dolomites Mountains, Italy. Upon arrival at the Sanctuary, Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ramsay Cole pass by a Dreadnoughtus bathing in a lake.
When the burning giant locusts escaped and set the forest ablaze, at least four Dreadnoughtus are seen escaping the forest fire by getting evacuated to the emergency containment zone in the Biosyn facility alongside many other dinosaurs, and when landing to retrieve the reunited group, Kayla Watts almost collides with an individual that passes by and vanishes into the treelines.
It is possibly assumed for the Dreadnoughtus to be out in the wild and it can be assumed it still resides in the abandoned sanctuary, which has been repurposed as an international preserve to this day.

Trivia[]
- The sound effects of Dreadnoughtus in Jurassic World Dominion were made from a mixture of a tiger's moan, a walrus bellow, and the deep, low notes of the didgeridoo. The Prologue also reused sound effects from the Brachiosaurus.
- With the possible exception of the Mosasaurus, it is the biggest animal in the franchise.
- It is the first and only living titanosaur in any of the films, as well as the first and only Cretaceous sauropod in any of the films. (Except the Alamosaurus skeleton in the original visitor center)
- Dreadnoughtus is the only one Biosyn dinosaur that got referred gender pronouns in the film.
