Efraasia is a genus of sauropodomorph dinosaur that lived during the Late Triassic in what is now Germany. The first fossils of this dinosaur were once attributed to Teratosaurus, who was at the time thought to be a theropod dinosaur. By 1912, German scientist Eberhard Fraas described a new species of Thecodontosaurus based on two partial skeletons. It wasn't until 1973 that a British paleontologist reassigned those skeletons to a new species, whom he named after Eberhard Fraas.
While it looks like one, Efraasia is less derived than the prosauropods, but is more derived than Thecodontosaurus. It is known to have coexisted with Plateosaurus, Liliensternus, and Procompsognathus, a dinosaur present in the novels of Michael Crichton.
