Ekrixinatosaurus is an extinct genus of abelisaurid theropod dinosaur from Cenomanian Patagonia, Argentina. It was at one point considered to be the largest abelisaur, surpassing the size of Carnotaurus, however, more recent studies have shown that this was most likely an overestimate only based off of the larger skull, not accounting for the fact that the postcranial remains were smaller than that of its aforementioned relative. The crown of the verifiable largest abelisaur now belongs to Pycnonemosaurus, though Ekrixinatosaurus is still likely one of the largest.
