Eosalmo is an extinct genus of salmon that existed in what is now Canada and the United States during the Eocene. It is known to be the most primitive member of the salmon family, and is thought to have been a fully freshwater-dwelling fish that did not spend time in saltwater like modern salmon.

The Dinosaurs of Jurassic Park: The Lost World[]

Eosalmo is mentioned in the chapter Alongside Dinosaurs, along with Oreochima and coelacanths as examples of fish that coexisted with the dinosaurs.[1] This is inaccurate, however, as Eosalmo lived during the Eocene epoch, after the extinction of the non-avian dinosaurs.
