Gigantoraptor (meaning "giant thief") is an extinct genus of oviraptorosaur theropod dinosaur that lived in Inner Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period and it is currently the biggest oviraptorosaur ever discovered.

Gigantoraptor was first mentioned in the database entry for Archaeornithomimus. By November 30th, 2023, Gigantoraptor is a dinosaur that can be added after purchasing the Cretaceous Predator Pack. This is its first appearance in a game for the franchise.

Gigantoraptor has not yet returned to Jurassic World Evolution 3, instead currently being mentioned again in the database entry of Archaeornithomimus. Although, it could possibly make a return in a future free update or a DLC.

Behind the Scenes[]
Gigantoraptor was one of the animals seen in Jim Martin's storyboards for Jurassic World that was not featured in the final cut. However, the animal was seen as a hologram in the Innovation Center. Gigantoraptor was also featured in a scrapped attraction together with a crestless hadrosaur (most likely Edmontosaurus).
