The grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), or gray reef shark, is one of the most common species of requiem reef shark in the Indo-Pacific. It is found as far east as Easter Island and as far west as South Africa. It is listed as endangered by the IUCN due to its low reproduction and limited dispersal. Like other members of its family, it is viviparous.

The grey reef shark is responsible for a number of attacks on humans, and should be treated with caution. It only attacks them when it is treathened. The diet of this animal consists of bony fishes and cephalopods.
