Hadrosaurus was a genus of hadrosaurid dinosaur that lived in the late Cretaceous Period. It was described in 1858 by Joseph Leidy in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Its skull was never discovered, so its head shape is debatable, whether it looked like that of Kritosaurus, which lived at the same time and place, or like that of later hadrosaurids, such as Edmontosaurus or Parasaurolophus.

Creation[]
Hadrosaurus is one of the dinosaurs that are cloned by InGen in a laboratory located in a village on Isla Sorna for Jurassic Park. At least 11 individuals with Version 3.1 were shipped to Isla Nublar as attractions, where the park is located. They shared a paddock with Maiasaura, due to them being close relatives of Hadrosaurus, Apatosaurus, and Microceratops. No reproduction is observed among the Hadrosaurs.
InGen Incident[]
When the park is disabled by Dennis Nedry, both the Tyrannosaurus rex and the Velociraptors were able to reach their territory and take some Hadrosaurus down. They were also able to leave their enclosure and roam around the island if they wanted to. As Alan Grant, Tim and Lex Murphy search for a motion sensor, they pass inside the Sauropod Paddock, where they see Hadrosaurus along other residents. However, a Tyrannosaurus rex appears, causing the Hadrosaurus herd to stampede. It successfully hunted and killed individual HD/09, while the rest of the herd nearly trampled Dr. Alan Grant and the Murphy children.
In the end, it is shown that only 5 Hadrosaurs are left, but one is later killed by a pack of raptors. The rest are later killed by the Costa Rica Napalm Bombing.
It is unknown if any Hadrosaurus remained on Isla Sorna during the events of The Lost World; it is most likely that it became extinct due to their lack of reproduction, or they were nesting in a different region of the island.
