Harold "Hal" Osterly was the vice-president of Verizon, who wanted to sponsor an attraction at Jurassic World.
Tour of Jurassic World's New Asset[]
In 2015, attendance at Jurassic World had begun to decline because, as Claire Dearing bluntly put it, "No one's impressed by a dinosaur anymore". Hal, along with representatives Jim Drucker and Erica Brand, were given a tour of the Hammond Creation Lab by Claire and responded that he wanted "to be thrilled" if he were going to sponsor an attraction. He was impressed by the Indominus rex and Henry Wu's promises that it would be larger than the Tyrannosaurus rex when fully grown, asking when she would be ready. Wu responded she already was.
