Hawaii

Hawaii is an archipelago of eight major islands and numerous smaller islets in the North Pacific Ocean. The Hawaiian Islands form the U.S. state of Hawaii.

The Hawaiian islands Kauai and Molokai were used as shooting locations for all three films.

Kauai

Kauai was the shooting location for Jurassic Park. Steven Speilberg preferred it over Costa Rica because it had a better infrastructure.

The following locations were used:

Nā Pali Coast State Park: Isla Nublar western coast
Manawaiopuna Falls: Waterfall near the Isla Nublar Heliport
National Tropical Botanical Garden’s Allerton Garden

When Spielberg and his crew were shooting the film, Hurricane Iniki struck Kauai.

The coast near the Nawiliwili Harbor was later used in The Lost World: Jurassic Park as the coast of Isla Sorna.
