Iggy was a young male Iguanodon that Eric Kirby befriended during his eight week stay on Isla Sorna. He appeared in the book Jurassic Park Adventures: Survivor.
Story[]
At some point Iggy was born on Isla Sorna. By 2001, Iggy was a juvenile male and part of a large herd of Iguanodon.
Jurassic Park: Adventures[]
During Eric's stay on the island, the boy met Iggy when the Iguanodon arrived at the InGen Compound and scared off a Velociraptor that was about to kill Eric. When Eric returned to the compound, he accidentally locked the Iguanodon inside with him. In his somewhat confused state, the dinosaur stumbled about the compound, crashing into things and briefly getting Alan Grant's book glued to his foot. After naming the Iguanodon, Eric eventually managed to lead him out of the compound with a trail of soy patty crumbs, releasing Iggy and letting him run free.
During his attempt to access a safe house on the island to call for help, Eric encountered Iggy again, along with the rest of his herd. The herd of Iguanodons were being attacked by a pack of Velociraptors, led by an alpha male named Red Rings. After recognizing the young Iguanodon as Iggy, due to the boy seeing the cover of Grant's book still glued to the bottom of the dinosaur's foot, Eric helped fight off the raptors for a short time. Eric attempted to use Iggy to carry a generator back to the compound to call for help, continuing to help fend off the raptors to allow the herd to escape. However, the nylon cord tying the generator to Iggy got caught on a branch, preventing him from fleeing and allowing the raptors to close in on him. Despite the fact that the generator had been destroyed, Eric fought off the raptors for a final time and cut the nylon cord with his Velociraptor claw, releasing Iggy and letting the Iguanodon run free once more. Iggy proceeded to rejoin his herd, leaving Eric to continue his stay on the island.
