Site B and Jurassic Park

Site B/Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar/Jurassic Park

Isla Sorna, alias Site B, is one island of the group The Five Deaths. A rather funny fact is that "Isla Sorna" means Sarcasm Island in Spanish. The research station of InGen, which created dinosaurs, was located on this island. It is the place where most of the movies, books and games about Jurassic Park take place.

Site B is where InGen bred the dinosaurs, as explained in the second Jurassic Park book The Lost World. You see from stage to stage but what about in between. Site B is where everything InGen didn't want Jurassic Park visitors to see occurred.

In the novel, following the failure of Isla Nublar, several accidents on Isla Sorna forced InGen to evacuate Site B and leave the animals to fend for themselves. In the film, John Hammond explained to Ian Malcolm that Hurricane Clarissa forced InGen to evacuate the island, leaving the dinosaurs behind to mature on their own. On the island, there are dozens of different species living without fences or boundaries. However, (most of) the carnivores are isolated by fences in the middle of the island.

Different versions of Isla Sorna exist in the different Jurassic Park canons:
