Jakapil (meaning "shield bearer" in Puelchean) is a genus of basal thyreophoran dinosaur from the Candeleros Formation of Argentina. This small herbivorous species measures about (4.9 feet) long and weighs in at 4.5–7 kilograms (9.9–15.4 pounds). The full mature size is debatable on this species though, the specimen found might not be a fully matured creature yet.
