Jeep 12 in Jurassic Park.
Jeep 12 is a Jeep Wrangler Staff Vehicle formerly owned by Jurassic Park. Unlike the other Jeeps, it had remote controlled search lamps attached to its light bar and appears to have more interior options than the standard Jeeps, featuring automatic transmission.
Story[]
Jeep 12 was one of the many purchased vehicles by InGen for Jurassic Park.
It was the Jeep taken by Dennis Nedry during his theft of the dinosaur embryos. Driving in the storm, Nedry crashed into the East Dock sign. Later he lost control of the vehicle and ended up grounding it on a tree overlooking the road to the dock. Nedry was then mauled and killed inside of the Jeep by a Dilophosaurus.[1]
After Nedry failed to show up at the East Dock, Nima Cruz and Miles Chadwick, two Biosyn employees who were waiting for him, follow a tracking device to Jeep 12 where they find Nedry's body and eventually the Barbasol can. However, the pair were attacked by a pack of Dilophosaurus and Nima managed to use the winch to free the Jeep, but it crashed into the tree that the winch was attached to, causing it to stall out. After fixing a loose battery connection, the two were attacked again, leading to Miles' death, but Nima managed to reach the Jeep and start it, running over a Dilophosaurus behind it. However, Nima backed into another tree, causing Jeep 12 to stall out for good and forcing her to abandon it.[2]
According to the Dinosaur Protection Group, during the 1994 clean up, Jeep 12 was found, along with Nedry's remains.
