John Sayles is an American independent film director and screenwriter who frequently plays small roles in his own and other indie films. He wrote a script for "Jurassic Park IV" started by William Monahan that involved human-dinosaur-dog hybrids that were to be used as mercenaries, but the script failed to satisfy Steven Spielberg. John Sayles also wrote another draft of the script later, which was also turned down.[1]
