John Sayles is an American independent film director and screenwriter who frequently plays small roles in his own and other indie films. He wrote a script for "Jurassic Park IV" with William Monahan that involved human-dinosaur-dog hybrids that were to be used as mercenaries, but the script failed to satisfy Steven Spielberg.
