The Jurassic Park Accident was an event that occurred when Jurassic Park employees were transporting dinosaurs at the park. As workers were moving the Big One from the Velociraptor Paddock to the Raptor Pen, the gatekeeper, Jophery Brown, was opening the transfer cage's gate. The Big One charged, causing the locks holding the cage in place to fail. Jophery was knocked to the ground, and the Big One immediately starting attacking him. After repeated attempts to subdue her, Muldoon ordered that she be shot. Jophery died from his injuries.
In the aftermath of the accident, the Brown Family filed a $20 million lawsuit against InGen, and this scared the investors and insurance underwriters, who feared that Jurassic Park was unsafe. They sent lawyer Donald Gennaro to inspect the theme park.[1]
