From time to time, people ask about how this wiki started, etc. Therefore, this page was made to explain and record the history of this wiki.

So far, our story started back in 2006, and has continued for the past 18 years...

Timeline[]

2006[]

On July 5, 2006, Master Cheif created the wiki. For about a month, he would create the first few articles and make a total of 56 edits. However, after making his last edit at 19:45, August 1, 2006, Master Cheif disappeared from the wiki, never to be heard from again, until he seemingly returned 12 years later...

Unfortunately, Master Cheif never appointed any administrators during his brief time as head admin, so in the wake of his disappearance, Park Pedia was ruled by chaos.

2007[]

On January 20, 2007, Vinny2 joined the wiki. Vinny would really make a difference on the wiki, making 106 constructive edits during his first four months on the wiki (upwards of about 1,367 constructive edits total during his time on the wiki). He soon noted, in early April, that the wiki was leaderless, so he volunteered to take up the role. On April 21, 2007, Wikia staff member Sannse gave him admin rights, and with his new powers, he did what he can to make bigger changes to Park Pedia.

2008[]

On November 27, 2008, ZEM became a member of Park Pedia and would make 465 good, constructive edits.

2009[]

JP-VisitorPass

By the start of 2009, Vinny2 was not very active on Park Pedia anymore. He would later write: "I haven't made any edits in a long time because I have other websites that are a priority for me." ZEM "promised" to take care of the wiki, but to make ZEM an admin, Vinny2 needed more rights. Therefore, on January 29, 2009, Wikia staff member Uberfuzzy promoted him to bureaucrat. With his new rights, Vinny2 made ZEM an admin on February 2, 2009; because "He's promised to help".

On April 26, 2009, My Name Is Tom joined the wiki. Tom wanted to change the wiki's layout fundamentally, but to do this, Tom would need to be an admin. Unfortunately, ZEM had no rights to make Tom an admin and Vinny2 had left Park Pedia by then, so once again, they had to turn to Wikia for help. On May 19, 2009, Wikia staff member CatherineMunro would give ZEM bureaucrat rights, and on May 22, ZEM promoted Tom to administrator, citing "per great work on wiki" as the reason.

2010[]

By early 2010, ZEM became inactive and was no longer into Jurassic Park. My Name Is Tom also left the wiki after their final edit on May 7, 2010, and has never returned since. With one admin gone, ZEM sought out a worthy successor, and on July 7, 2010, he promoted the more active user, MismeretMonk (aka BastionMonk), to admin and bureaucrat. With the wiki in good hands, ZEM would retire from adminship and leave the wiki on October 15, 2010.

Late 2010-2018[]

Over the next seven years, MismeretMonk (later named BastionMonk) appointed a total of 17 administrators to the wiki's staff team; CrashBash, Collector1, Lythronax, TheXenomorph1, Jurassic Park Treasury, John Alfred Hammond CEO, and Starscream7, just to name a few. However, most of these admin would later step down and leave the wiki or be demoted by BastionMonk for inactivity. However, despite the ever-changing admin team, BastionMonk, with the help of CrashBash, Collector1, and many others, kept the wiki growing.

On August 21, 2012, at 16:24 UTC, BastionMonk created the History Wall and recorded the wiki's entire history up to his promotion to admin-bureaucrat. However, aside from a few miscellaneous edits over the years, the History Wall would not see any significant updates for the next six years.

On September 26, 2017, Collector1 would make his final edit before disappearing for the rest of 2017. Around this time, BastionMonk's began to make less edits on the wiki and mostly focused on resolving disputes between other users. Eventually, he, too, would disappear after Christmas Eve 2017 and remained inactive for the first three months of 2018. The wiki would enter a mini-dark age of sorts until April 10, 2018, when BastionMonk suddenly returned. However, instead of continuing where he left off, BastionMonk, instead, announced his resignation and named CrashBash as his successor as wiki bureaucrat. In the wake of this announcement, several other members of the wiki requested to become admins, though this never came to fruition. Neither would CrashBash be appointed bureaucrat, as BastionMonk would seemingly leave the wiki without fulfilling his promise. CrashBash stayed an admin for a period of time and would appoint then-former admin Animalman57 as a discussion moderator during this time. The wiki remained like this for the next three months, with only two admins keeping the site running.

During this three-month limbo period, a user who would become one of the wiki's most infamous users, KellyEldridge, would join the wiki. He was like any ordinary user on the wiki, according to CrashBash in an interview he did with future admin Carnotaur for the latter's post, "Story Time With Carnotaur: The War!", until he began to leave spammy, and sometimes rude, messages on other users' talk pages. Kelly would then be temporarily banned on June 12, 2018 by CrashBash after failing to heed his warning regarding his behavior. CrashBash would later extend Kelly's block to three months eight days later.

On July 28, 2018, Carnotaur requested bureaucrat and admin rights to help the wiki. Of course, he hadn't contribute enough to be granted the rights, and after his attempt failed, CrashBash himself stopped waiting for BastionMonk to give him his bureaucrat rights and requested FANDOM staff to grant him said rights. However, as if by a miracle, BastionMonk came back to the wiki and promoted CrashBash to bureaucrat on August 1, 2018. Immediately after receiving bureaucrat rights, CrashBash would promote Animalman57 to administrator. He would also promote Logo8th to administrator four days later.

On August 16, 2018, Carnotaur reached out to CrashBash and asked him for the requirements of becoming a Discussions and Chat Moderator. CrashBash would grant Carnotaur these rights the following day, on August 17, 2018, stating, "In all fairness I could use one".

On August 18, 2018, from 17:26 to 18:02 UTC, Carnotaur would make the first major edits on the History Wall in over six years.

Late 2018[]

In the months following his promotion to bureaucrat, CrashBash would appoint Dinosaurus1 to a moderator position and oversaw many changes and overhauls to the wiki, spearheaded mostly by Carnotaur. One of these changes include the exclusion of anonymous I.P. users from participating in wiki activities on October 7, 2018, after Carnotaur and BattleshipMan expressed concern over the high amounts of vandalism and inappropriate talk page threads happening on the wiki. Another big change came in on October 15, 2018 when Crypman8 created the wiki's first Discord server, thus allowing wiki users another platform to discuss and connect with each other on anything and everything Jurassic Park. Meanwhile, Carnotaur, with the help of BattleshipMan, continued to do what he can to help the wiki thrive, mostly by keeping it clean from spammers and vandals. He took part in many ”edit wars”, and blocked many of the offending users off the wiki.

Additionally, on October 15, 2018, wiki founder Master Cheif, now under the name MindYerOwnParsley005, seemingly returned to the wiki from out of the blue after 12 years of inactivity. He made numerous edits and became a member of the wiki once again, before leaving the wiki for the rest of the year on November 27, after responding to a message on Animalman57's message wall.

2019[]

2019 marked the wiki's return to its golden age, thanks to the collective efforts of many people.

On January 2, 2019, a little over one month since their last appearance, MindYerOwnParsley005/Master Cheif returned to the wiki and would become very active in the coming weeks.

On January 12, 2019, a user by the name of Josevazq1994, or simply Jose or GoodJuan, as he would later be known as, would be banned for a week by CrashBash.

On January 16, 2019, CrashBash appointed Carnotaur to oversee efforts to update the wiki's policies. This idea was originally proposed by Crypman8 on December 28, 2018.

On January 17, 2019, after taking to Carnotaur, Crypman8 would take a temporary break from the wiki to focus on other things.

On January 23, 2019, Jose would once again be blocked from the wiki for six months by CrashBash. Embittered by this, Jose would go on to harass JP wiki staff on several other wikis, resulting in Crash extending his block.

On February 22, 2019, Jose's suspected alt. account, GoodJuan, was blocked by CrashBash.

On February 24, 2019, Kelly would once again be blocked from the wiki by Mjmannella after he reacted terribly to a warning CrashBash issued after was he caught spamming other users' talk pages again.

On February 24, 2019, CrashBash announced that he would be stepping down as wiki bureaucrat and appointed Dinosaurus1 and Animalman57 as the wiki's new bureaucrats, and BattleshipMan and Carnotaur as the wiki's new admins before he left. This announcement came after months of relentless spamming and accusations of being a "badmin (bad admin) by a bunch of alt. accounts, all of which seem to have one goal in mind: the removal and banning of CrashBash from the wiki. Though Crash suspected Kelly was responsible for these attacks, no one could say for certain, but one thing was made clear; the perpetrator will not stop until CrashBash is gone. Things progressively got worse throughout the day, with Kelly and one user, named ActedPlayer1, continuing their attacks on CrashBash, even after he decided to step down. Crash would block both Kelly's alt. account ActedPlayer later in the day after they refused to stop spouting anti-CrashBash rhetoric. However, while ActedPlayer disappeared following his block, Kelly would continue spamming anti-CrashBash rhetoric in the months following Crash's resignation, though many were quick to tune him out.

On March 4, 2019, Carnotaur, BattleshipMan, and JoeyRains2000 worked together to edit the wiki's manual of style. However, despite bouncing ideas off each other, this never came to fruition, and after April 27, 2019, they abandoned their efforts altogether.

On March 5, 2019, after a little over of month of inactivity, Crypman8 returned to the wiki after Carnotaur reached out to him and offer him the role of Discussions and Chat Moderator the previous day. Crypman8 would gladly take the offer and was promoted to the role alongside Owerslachlan.

On March 11, 2019, Kelly, operating under the username Facetim, threatened and eventually reported the wiki and its staff to FANDOM, claiming that the wiki staff team was abusing their powers. For the next five hours, things remained tense on the wiki as wiki staff tried to defend themselves and prove to FANDOM staff that what Kelly was spouting was lies. Fortunately, FANDOM took their side, and Kelly would be blocked by BattleshipMan for the chaos he caused.

Between March 11, 2019 and July 8, 2019, the wiki faced a series of problematic and disruptive users, Kelly and Jose/GoodJuan chief among them.

At some unknown point between May 2019 and June 21, 2019, Kelly would launch a cyber attack in an attempt to bring down the wiki. Fortunately, the damage he did was quickly fixed by Animalman57 and Carnotaur, and the latter would soon launch an investigation into the matter shortly afterward. Little did he know at the time, however, this would lead him to uncover terrible truths about some of the people in his circle of friends.

On July 17, 2019, after many months of preparation, the DiscordIntegrator for the Jurassic Park Wiki's Discord server widget was officially added to the wiki's main page, helping expand the wiki to new lands. This was done with the help of Carnotaur, Crypman8, and Theferretman21. Around the same time, wiki staff worked together to bring the JP Fanon wiki closer to this one. This partnership was spearheaded by Carnotaur, and the success of his efforts brought in many more users to the wiki.

July 23, 2019, Jose/GoodJuan's alt. account, Vazqjose1994, was blocked by Carnotaur after the latter became aware of a duplicate Jurassic Park Wiki created by the former. He and the wiki staff team then tried to get it shut down, and after asking FANDOM several times to delete it, they succeeded.

On August 16, 2019, BastionMonk briefly returned to the wiki to respond to a message left by Carnotaur on the Terra Nova Wiki.

On September 22, 2019, Kelly's main account was permanently blocked from the wiki by Dinosaurus1.

On September 26, 2019, after noticing JoeyRains2000's strange change in behavior over the past few months, Carnotaur would message him on Community Central and made a breakthrough in his investigation regarding the anti-CrashBash Cult. After being confronting about his ties with Kelly and GoodJuan, Joey would tell Carnotaur everything about the anti-CrashBash Cult (or as Joey calls it, the CrashBash Resistance) On September 27, 2019. Through their conversation, Carnotaur would learn several things about the Cult; the group had twenty members, Kelly being one of them, and was led by Joey himself. They would convene on a dedicated Discord server, where they would hatch their schemes until CrashBash stepped down from his position. However, they had got back together in the summer to launch the cyber attacks on the wiki after learning that CrashBash was still active behind the scenes, talking and advising those he promoted earlier in the year. But the most damning and shocking revelation made by Joey was that he wasn't actually the leader of the group but merely a figurehead. The true leader of the anti-CrashBash Cult, and the mastermind behind the anti-CrashBash rhetoric, was none other than Crypman8. Carnotaur would be shaken by this revelation and reached out to Dinosaurus1 to tell him the news. While talking to Dinosaurus1 about the revelations, Carnotaur would reach out to Crypman8 on the Cryptid Wiki. Through their conversation on the Cryptic Wiki, Crypman8 would confess to everything; his reasons for starting the anti-CrashBash Cult, where the Cult would convene, and his original plan. Originally, he founded the Cult with the intention of making CrashBash leave the wiki peacefully, but his plans were ruined by Kelly, so he handed the reins to Joey, and stepped away from the group, and guided it from the shadows. He also revealed that the wiki's Discord server was created for the sole purpose of convening with fellow Cult members and prospective recruits (example on Community Central) to bring CrashBash down. Crypman8 would go on to apologize for his action and left the wiki after October 1, 2019, despite Carnotaur forgiving him and inviting him to return. Afterward, the anti-CrashBash Cult disbanded, but Kelly would continue to raid the wiki every so often and cause trouble for the wiki's staff. GoodJuan's ties with the Cult would never be confirmed, though it's likely he was just someone using the chaos caused by the Cult to his advantage and wasn't a member at all.

On October 22, 2019, Steamblust was temporarily made an admin to facilitate a redesign of many of the now outdated and poorly made aspects of the wiki's design, most notably, the general theme and main page. However, on November 6, 2019, he would step down from his position after deeming his work here as complete. Around this time, the wiki became partners with the Jurassic World Evolution, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, and Dinopedia wikis.

On December 4, 2019, two months after the start of the wiki renovations, Diabolusaurus127, a user from the Jurassic Park Fanon Wiki, came to finish the redesign of the wiki. He updated several sections of the wiki and gave the finishing touches, though wiki renovations would continue into early 2020. Around the same time, the wiki managed to become the tenth most popular film-focused wiki in the FANDOM network.

2020[]

Early 2020 saw the continued renovation of the wiki by the aforementioned users above, with Steamblust returning to his role as admin to help. By March, the wiki redesign was pretty much complete.

On April 1, 2020, Carnotaur promoted Dinoanime7 to chat and thread moderator, filling in the vacant moderator spot Crypman8 once filled before he left the wiki, and later, FANDOM altogether (disabling his account in the process). Kelly Eldridge, as usual, continued with his periodical spamming, but Carnotaur, in the hopes of bringing the community together, hosted a contest, where a user would make a meme about Kelly Eldridge. At the end of the contest, Dinoanime7 was named the winner. After this, anonymous I.P Users were allowed back on the wiki, but this decision was later reversed.

On July 27, 2020, Kelly would raid the wiki again on an alt. account and spam explicit material on the Discussions/Forum page.

On August 11, 2020, Dinosaurs20 was appointed as a moderator by Dinosaurus1 due to his many contributions. Soon after this, Carnotaur requested bureaucrat rights to further help the wiki grow. To gauge the community's opinion, Dinosaurus1 created a poll asking whether or not Carnotaur should be appointed as bureaucrat. The poll ending with most supporting Carnotaur's promotion and, upon receiving his bureaucrat rights on August 15, 2020, Carnotaur made Owerslachlan head admin the very next day and thanked all those who supported him.

On September 10, 2020, Kelly, operating under the username R.I.P Joel, successfully infiltrated the wiki and participated in wiki activities... until he got himself banned for one month by Owerslachlan for causing an edit war and adding unconfirmed/false information to articles.

Around October 28, 2020, the wiki's Forum Guidelines were revised. The wiki also transitioned into a period of mild activity during this time.

On November 9, 2020, Collector1 made a brief return to the wiki.

2021[]

On February 18, 2021, Kelly made a return to the wiki through several sockpuppet accounts. While he didn't spam the Discussions feed, as he usually did, he did get into fights with several other users. Several hours later, Kelly unexpectedly apologized to Carnotaur and the other admins, and promised to leave the wiki for good. However, this promise was broken months later when he returned to the wiki on another sockpuppet account.

On February 21, 2021, the greatest controversy that did not involve Kelly occurred. A joke, and eventually various memes, began spreading about users and people in general who shipped children characters in the Camp Cretaceous series, usually in fan-fictions. The issue had become a concern to the JP community as a whole, but Parkpedia took it to another level. Carnotaur, highly critical of the concept, made a large post made with the help of others. The post joked about putting shippers in a Gulag (aka Soviet labor camp), and added comical details in with it. The majority of the wiki loved it, and the meme spread. However, some did not share the same sentiment, and the attention of the wiki’s manager, KylaraE, was soon drawn to the sensation and somewhat infighting. In a message to Carnotaur later that day, she criticized him for starting the movement and using the wiki's announcement feature to spread it, stating it was not acceptable for a wiki admin to misuse such feature. Carnotaur objected her criticism but did delete some of the new posts that were spreading. However, he, along with a majority of the wiki's members, defended his actions, but as a wiki manager well-versed in FANDOM's community policies, KylaraE stated what he did was not allowed and put her foot down.

On March 20, 2021, tensions between Carnotaur and Concaventor Wrangler, who believed the former was abusing his power by posting off-topic material and the aforementioned shippers situation, began to grow. Their quarrel began to escalate, eventually reaching to the point where, on March 21, 2021, Carnotaur banned Concaventor from the wiki for three days. Then, after returning from his ban, Concaventor would be blocked again by Carnotaur on March 28 after the former criticized Carnotaur's behavior as an admin and accused him of being biased toward certain view points and people, and breaking several wiki guidelines along with several others.

On March 29, 2021, KylaraE was informed of the situation regarding Concaventor Wrangler's block from the previous day and confronted Carnotaur about it. Carnotaur would try to justify his actions in two different threads, citing Concaventor's track record of being problematic as the reason for it and later providing evidence to back his claims. However, KylaraE would point out that none of what Concaventor said on March 28 warranted a block and warned Carnotaur to be more considerate of others' feelings going forward.

From March 30 to April 12, 2021, during the midst of the Carnotaur v. Concaventor Wrangler situation, KylaraE and the wiki admins worked together to make changes to the wiki guidelines.

On March 31, 2021, in the midst of his talks with KylaraE, Carnotaur would unban Concaventor after talking things out with him. He and Concaventor would agree to a truce of sorts and things became peaceful on the wiki for the next few weeks.

On April 26, 2021, Carnotaur would make a post regarding the conclusion of situation involving a user named Theultimatefan101667 (aka Luna), who was infamous for her problematic behavior on the JP wiki and several other wikis. However, Concaventor Wrangler would once again criticize Carnotaur and wiki staff for their conduct in the comment section of the post, resulting in an argument that would end with Concaventor reporting Carnotaur's behavior to KylaraE on Community Central. Carnotaur and several wiki staff members would try to explain their case and refute Concaventor's claims to KylaraE (who was offline at the time) but were told by then-CC admin Mendes2 to stay off the thread. Subsequently, while Concaventor and KylaraE discussed the former's recent issues with the wiki's staff, Carnotaur would post a community poll later in the day asking if Concaventor should be banned. A vast majority of the wiki's members would vote in favor of the idea, and Concaventor would be permanently blocked from the wiki. However, KylaraE would be informed about the situation and confront Carnotaur about his actions. She also told him that banning a user by a community vote was not allowed, even though it had been done before, and to not rely on fellow staff members to help him justify his actions in the future. Carnotaur, however, ultimately ignored her message and never responded to it.

On April 27, 2021, following Concaventor Wrangler's block, Carnotaur announced that he would be temporarily leaving the wiki, wishing to take a break after all the recent drama. After some discussion, a series of new moderators and admins were promoted on April 29, 2021. CROCBOI and Potatopotato2 were given admin rights, and Freddy jurassic park and DragonSaber73 appointed as moderators. Under this new administration, Concaventor would be unbanned by Potatopotato2 later in the day and given one last chance, albeit on a tight leash, and the Wiki Guidelines would be further revised to aid in present issues. Carnotaur would later return a short while later and edited the guidelines a final time back to the original ten rules, making sure to write them in a way that they were condensed yet up to date and easy to understand.

On May 3, 2021, after reviewing the controversy surrounding Concavenator's block, KylaraE would approach Dinosaurus1 and discuss ways to better educate the wiki's staff regarding their conduct for the next two days. With input from BattleshipMan and Potatopotato2, they made significant progress regarding admin accountability and how wiki staff should conduct themselves going forward. KylaraE would also inform Carnotaur of these developments and warn him about his conduct, but again, Carnotaur ignored her message, partly due to being on break at the time.

For the next several months, things on the wiki were well, with the wiki, as well as all other wikis across the FANDOM network, receiving a new visual style in July 2021 with the FandomDesktop update.

On August 4, 2021, Carnotaur announced he was going to take leave of absence from the wiki to work on two other projects of his, and left the wiki in the hands of the other wiki staff. During his absence, a vote was held concerning allowing off-topic posts to the forum. The vote went in favor of the idea at first, but then switched back to many against the idea.

On August 6, 2021, Potatopotato2 created the wiki's off-topic thread, The Chaos Zone.

On September 9, 2021, Kelly returned to wiki under the username Heisenderp and made a post where he asked for peace and forgiveness from the community. Despite some mixed feelings among members of the community, Kelly was allowed to stay after some discussion and voting. However, he soon lost his privilege when he slowly returned to his old ways and was banned by CROCBOI on September 23, 2021. On September 24, 2021, Potatopotato2 changed Kelly's block to mention how he is still using sockpuppet accounts to bypass his blocks. However, little did anyone know at the time, Kelly had an ace up his sleeve.

Immediately following Kelly's reappearance, several users began posting disturbing images in the forum, claiming they received them from "an anonymous user." The wiki went into an uproar, because the images had to do with Carnotaur, who hadn't been active for the past month on not just the JP Wiki but elsewhere, too. The coincidence of these images being posted and Carnotaur's inactivity led many to believe that the users were insinuating Carnotaur was either in danger or, worse, dead. This resulted in the community to gather all the images, which there were four in total, and theorize their meaning. Soon, a clue was discovered on the last image, posted on September 23, 2021 by SomeoneElse634, and it looked like the community was on to something.

However, in the midst of the uproar, a user called 朋友們大家好 (meaning "Hello Friends" in Traditional Chinese) appeared and began posting on the wiki on September 24, 2021. As the whole drama unfolded, "Hello Friends" would contact FANDOM staff member Sannse on Community Central and report the images as unsafe, reasoning that children should not be allowed to see them. No response came from Sannse, but Carnotaur replied to the message, kindly explaining that the images were part of an ARG he was conducting. However, "Hello Friends" had posted the link to the message on SomeoneElse634's post, so users saw the conversation, and thus the ARG was broken. "Hello Friends" then questioned Carnotaur on his actions, saying they were suspicious of him using sock-puppet accounts to post the images. Carnotaur proved to him that other people had posted them on his behalf, but the user stated he wished to do an IP check, to see if he was lying, claiming to have worked for FANDOM before. Carnotaur declined the request to do so, and wished for the message to be deleted. It was, and Carnotaur went away again in the meantime. Not long after this, "Hello Friends" accused wiki users of racism due to people referring to him as the “Chinese Guy.” However, after a long argument, "Hello Friends" unveiled their identity as Kelly Eldridge and was quickly banned by Potatopotato2.

On September 26, 2021, two days after his ARG was exposed, Carnotaur returned to the wiki, much to the wiki’s joy, and was warmly welcomed back. His first action was to make a new poll on the issue with off-topic posts. The poll went in favor, and remained that way, gaining over 100 votes. The decisions was made to allowed such posts, but only once a day, and with exceptions. Everything went back to normal afterward.

Soon after his return, Carnotaur invited Kelly back to the wiki for a serious civil discussion, apologizing for the community's constant attention to him and saying he (Carnotaur) has matured. However, after extending an olive branch to Kelly, he would be reported by an anonymous user.

On October 5, 2021, the same time Carnotaur was trying to make peace with him, Kelly returned under his R.I.P. Joel account and began causing trouble on the wiki. He soon went to KylaraE, complaining that he was being accused of being Kelly when, in fact, he wasn't. Since Carntaur thought Joel was telling the truth and that this was a case of mistaken identity, on October 6, 2021, he made an apology post on Joel's message wall. However, he was met with a demented response from Joel, who made it seem like he was being attacked, which he was not. Kelly would then report this to KylaraE, resulting in a chain of events that rocked the entire community to its core.

Shortly after apologizing to Joel, Carnotaur was striped of his bureaucrat rights by KylaraE, who cited his behavior of enticing Kelly to return, usage of community polls to block people, and encouraging a "toxic atmosphere" as the reasons for his demotion. He was then globally banned from FANDOM for one week, and was not to have any of his rights reinstated upon his return. Carnotaur's demotion wasn't well recieved by the community, as most users were confused and angry over Carnotaur's demotion, especially after Kelly's identity as R.I.P Joel was revealed, and soon, major protesting occurred on the wiki, resulting in the "no posts about Kelly" rule later in the day. With many up and arms over Carnotaur's demotion and ban, Kelly seized the opportunity to report many of these users' “actions” to KylaraE, resulting in multiple users, such as Second Indominus, D1n0635, Kelbeam and SomeoneElse634, being banned for complaining about Carnotaur’s banning for the next three days. This decision, unfortunately, affected the daily management of Dinopedia because some of those banned users were also staff members there.

On October 9, 2021, Kelly's R.I.P Joel account would be banned from the wiki, and when confronted with the fact that R.I.P Joel was Kelly, KylaraE would IP-verify these claims and globally ban Kelly. However, Second Indominus, D1n0635, Kelbeam and SomeoneElse634 would remain globally blocked due to numerous infractions they committed during the drama, such as harassment, sending threats, and global ban evasion. Consequently, KylaraE would extend these users's block duration, and they would remain blocked for the next three months. The wiki went into a state of turmoil afterward, but a week later, Carnotaur returned to the wiki after serving out his global block, and called for unity and justice. It took a few days for things to calm down, but once things had settled and returned to normalcy, the matter of how to proceed came up.

However, on October 21, 2021, in the midst of these uncertain times, Kelly would once again return under the user The NING IN THE KORTH and spent the next three days targeting users. Despite being confronted by several users, Kelly would deny these claims while operating under this alt. account before Potatopotato2 banned him from the wiki.

On October 23, 2021, CROCBOI suggested to Dinosaurus1 about promoting new administrators due to the absence of some of the current admins, and he recommended two longtime users of the wiki for the roles: Dinosaurs20 and KamikazePyro. These two were given administrator rights later that day.

On November 28, 2021, roughly two months after he was striped of his powers, Carnotaur would message KylaraE and discuss his behavior. Carnotaur and Dinosaurus1 would also bring up the possibility of granting the former mod rights with KylaraE, but she stayed by her decision and rejected the idea on December 15, 2021. The thread would later be locked per Carnotaur's request.

On December 4, 2021, MindYerOwnParsley005 edited their account bio to reveal that they were not, in fact, the wiki's founder, but merely an impersonator. They explained that they had been in a bad place at the time of joining the wiki, and had made a few poor decisions, including impersonating Master Cheif before apologizing and explaining that they would no longer be using that account. They then edited the History page with similar information before becoming permanently inactive. They left their account as a reminder of their failure to themselves, and as a warning to others to not impersonate others for attention.

From December 15 to December 23, 2021, Kelly raided the wiki several times on several sockpuppet accounts (with The Power Of The Sock, I-Want-Dat-Blue-Meth, and Weed Jesus Rises being confirmed sockpuppets of his) and attacked several members of the wiki with unfounded claims, namely Jwelegendary, whom he accused was a sockpuppet of Zilla199. After these attacks, Kelly was IP banned by KylaraE on Christmas Eve and remained elusive for a period of time before reappearing in 2022.

On December 26, 2021, Carnotaur, who by this point had moved over to Dinopedia, was promoted to thread moderator over there by The dragnor, striking fear in many of Dinopedia and Jurassic Park wiki's members alike, who feared of a repeat of the R.I.P Joel attack from October.

2022[]

On January 6, 2022, Carnotaur was promoted to administrator on Dinopedia by MemoryAngel, even further increasing the fear of Dinopedia becoming a target of harassment. To quell these fears, Carnotaur voluntarily had his administrator rights revoked on Dinopedia on January 10, 2022. On the same day, Jwelegendary was promoted to moderator on the JP wiki by BattleshipMan.

On January 11, four months after Kelly's R.I.P Joel attack, Second Indominus, D1n0635, Kelbeam, and SomeoneElse634 returned to the wiki after serving their global blocks.

From February 28, 2022, the wiki slowly descended into chaos when mid-time member Fallen-Angel Lailah was revealed to have groomed and “FANDOM-dated” several users, most of whom were members of the wiki, and done many NSFW role-playing sessions off-wiki. She was later banned indefinitely from the wiki for her behavior and actions later that day, though it took roughly four days for the drama to completely settle down.

On March 9, 2022, after feuding with many other members in the community, namely Acrocanthosaurus Atokensis, Dunkleosteus Terrelli was banned from the wiki for a month. As the active members of the community were relieved by this development, due to Dunkleosteus Terrelli's history of problematic behavior, Kelly took the opportunity to raid the wiki again.

On March 10, 2022, amid the Ukraine crisis, Kelly made another return to the wiki under another sockpuppet account and criticized users for using the Ukrainian flag as their profile picture, under the assumption that it was only “to keep up with the trend”. After spending the day verbally abusing users, Jwelegendary messaged Kelly, informing him that a ban would be in process, after the latter revealed his identity. Kelly then threatened to send NSFW pictures of himself, which he (thankfully) never did before he was banned from the wiki on March 11, 2022 by Mjmanella (who had previously spent a long time inactive). Shortly after the Kelly alt. was blocked, KylaraE placed a global block on the alt. account.

Concurrent with Kelly's block, by suggestion of Jwelegendary, Very Inked messaged BattleshipMan to request moderator rights, and the latter messaged fellow mod Palaeontologica for further consultation, as per Very Inked's request. After receiving a great recommendation from Palaeontologica, BattleshipMan granted Very Inked moderator rights. Two days later, after asking for Very Inked's opinion, BattleshipMan would promote Man with no name or life to thread moderator.

On April 8, 2022, after many edit controversies and accusations of unfair edit undos, Dinosaurs20 made an appearance in the off-topic zone to defend himself. The debate got incredibly heated and ended with the communally described unfair banning of Acrocanthosaurus Atokensis, Jag D-Q, Savage Almond, and moderator Shieldon.BAH by Dinosaurs20. They were all later unbanned by Potatopotato2, and discussions about Dinosaurs20's fate moved onto Potato's message wall. However, in the midst of the discussions, both Dinosaurus20 and Savage Almond were both globally blocked by FANDOM. While it was later revealed that Savage was globally blocked by FANDOM staff member Kirkburn for attacking Dinosaurs20 on KylaraE's message wall over on Community Central, Dinosaurs20's block remained a mystery, and the question of who effectuated the ban, and from what wiki, remains unknown to this day. However, a user named Antiliun claims he played a role in getting Dinosaurs20 globally block after the latter got involved with a globally-blocked user harassing the former at the time and was unwittingly helping them evade their global block. Regardless of the reason, the drama ultimately resulted in Palaeontologica quitting and stepping down from his moderation position and several other users, such as Antiliun, stepping away from the wiki in the following days, either temporarily or permanently.

On April, 9, 2022, KylaraE stepped in and intervened in the situation regarding the drama from the previous day before launching an investigation into it. After investigating the matter thoroughly and discovering evidence of harassment, KylaraE would globally ban Palaeontologica, Anjanath is Best, and Acrocanthosaurus Atokensis for 3 days for their behavior during the drama. Later in the day, BattleshipMan suggested that he be promoted to bureaucrat, and that Matthaus101 should be promoted to content moderator. Dinosaurus1 took immediate action in promoting the latter while BattleshipMan would be promoted to bureaucrat on April 11, thus giving the wiki two bureaucrats for the first time since Carnotaur's demotion.

Around mid-April, Very Inked added the wiki's "active on Discord" staff to a group chat, which inevitably caused many changes to the list. This included a major reform. It remains unclear what this major reform was, as the original writer of this entry never made a follow-up edit.

Around late April, the Dinopedia community (much of whom are in JP wiki as well) became discontent with Jwelegendary's behavior, specifically with him saying the same "troll-esque" words too often in their Discord server and in the Chaos Zone. This led to many users, specifically Kelbeam, Titanosaurus80, Savage Almond, and other users, in smaller capacities, to harass Jwelegendary. This inevitably ended with Savage Almond being globally banned for two weeks by FANDOM.

A few weeks later, around May 6, 2022, Kelly struck again and reported several local mods to KylaraE in an attempt to shame them and get them blocked. KylaraE banned the alt. account, but not before he had caused some considerable damage to the reputation of several member the wiki's mod team, mainly Very Inked. Before the Kelly alt. was banned, Jwelegendary came in to stop the alt. from harassing other users, as well as on Dunkleosteus Terellli's callout post on Community Central, which improved his reputation with most of the community. In gratitude for his efforts and sticking up for him, Inked offered a solution in his and Jwelegendary's ongoing feud, and Jwelegendary was let back into the Dinopedia Discord server as a result, thus ending their feud. Additionally, this would also be the last known recorded appearance of Kelly on the Jurassic Park Wiki.

On May 7, 2022, it was revealed that Savage Almond had been evading his global block with a sockpuppet account, called Discolops, which resulted in KylaraE increasing his global block duration to three months.

On May 18, 2022, Carnotaur returned not just to the wiki, but FANDOM itself. Very Inked also decided to return and applied for adminship, which was quickly granted the same day.

On May 21, 2022, Potatopotato2 was promoted to bureaucrat by Battlshipman.

On June 10, 2022, Jurassic World: Dominion was released to theaters. The wiki saw a slew of new editors and members joining following the release of the film.

On June 17, 2022, Jwelegendary and Man with no name or life were both temporarily promoted to administrator for one month by BattleshipMan.

On June 21, 2022, Very Inked announced to fellow staff members that he had not actually reactivated his account, and decided he needed a mental health break, which the staff supported, though the next day, he decided that he would reactivate his account, but leave the wiki. Whether it was temporarily or permanently remained unknown at the time.

By mid-July, Jwelegendary had applied for another term as admin, mainly to fill in information for the upcoming final season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and the newly released mobile game, Jurassic World: Primal Ops. At some point after this, the now-admin took a short mental-health break, occasionally checking in on the wiki, but not being able to do much editing as before.

On July 25, 2022, The Blue Crusader arrived to the wiki after being banned on Dinopedia for disruptive behavior. He would soon become infamous in the community for constantly getting into heated debates with admins and other users alike on various subjects, mostly taxonomy, and attempting to bring other users into his disputes and spats. He would later be banned by Very Inked on August 22, 2022, for starting a heated argument with Man with no name or life and Palaeontologica after posting a thread questioning the validity of the Brazilian spinosaur, Oxalaia. Shortly following his ban from the wiki, the Blue Crusader would be slapped with a two-and-a-half weeks-long global block following his harassment of Clumsystiggy by proxy after the latter blocked him from the Prehistoric Wiki in the earlier half of August due to his argumentative behavior. Inked would later lift The Blue Crusader's block on September 11, and The Blue Crusader would return to the wiki the next day. He would then remain an active, yet controversial, member of the wiki for the next few months until his second, and final, global block, and subsequent departure from FANDOM, in early December (circa December 5).

In early August, Jwelegendary somewhat left the wiki to work on some of his own wikis, but then, on September 4, 2022, less than a week after having to contemplate shutting down on one of his wikis (due to the source being shut down), Jwelegendary returned to the editing side of Park Pedia, and formally apologized to BattleshipMan for technically tricking him into promoting him to administrator.

On September 28, 2022, MeGrimlockKing2014 (or simply Grimlock) joined the wiki and made a post pitting the Scorpios rex against the Dinobot leader, Grimlock, from the Transformers series. Little did anyone know at the time, Grimlock would end up becoming a thorn in the wiki staff's side, much like Kelly.

On October 1, 2022, Grimlock made several posts that caused discomfort among discussion goers, most notably a post detailing his crackpot ship between Camp Cretaceous character Yasmina "Yaz" Fadoula and English actor Tom Holland. One of his other posts, titled "The Sensational Dinobot" (basically a parody of The Amazing Spider-Man), also drew a lot of negative attention, and Grimlock would go on to make two Spider-Man: No Way Home-JW crossover posts on October 4 before abandoning his account afterward. Whether it was because he forgot the password to it or was slapped with a temporary global block during this time remains a mystery. However, this wouldn't be the last time Grimlock would be seen on the wiki.

On October 7, 2022, a user called Elgan Ciel Reyes appeared on the wiki. However, it soon became apparent that Elgan was none other than Grimlock, after he began posting comments highlighting his obsessive fascination with Yaz (something that would go on to be a key characteristic used in identifying Grimlock's alt. accounts later down the line, along with his constant usage of the Scorpious rex, Eli Mills and his non-canonical involvement in the Scorpios's creation, the Dinobots (especially his namesake, Grimlock), and Heather from the How To Train Your Dragon franchise in his posts, and his habit of commenting on his own posts). Despite receiving warnings from Potatopotato2, Jwelegendary, and DragonSaber73 2, and disappearing for about eleven days, Elgan/Grimlock would later be indefinitely banned from the wiki on October 24, 2022, after making several more nonsensical posts and comments.

On October 11, 2022, Very Inked, who was now going by the name Generic Friendly Ducc, deactivated his account and left FANDOM.

On October 16, 2022, BattleshipMan promoted Thomasterra to content moderator for their outstanding work of proofreading and cleaning up articles on this wiki.

On November 17, 2022, Narutomaki81890812 proposed a new rule for the wiki: no low effort posts. This came after he was inspired by Dinopedia's implementation of the same rule just prior, and the rule was fully implemented two days later.

On December 2, 2022, after two months of zero chaos, Jwelegendary applied for adminship and was almost immediately granted administrator rights. This marks the first promotion, or even remotely important event, other than the addition of the "no low effort posts" rule, in nearly five months.

On December 23, 2022, Owerslachlan temporarily returned to the wiki after a year of inactivity.

2023[]

For the first two months of 2023, things on the wiki were relatively peaceful, with no major or noteworthy milestones (or drama) occurring during this time.

Between March 11, 2023, and March 30, 2023, Grimlock infiltrated the wiki on four different alt. accounts. However, in all four instances, he was swiftly blocked by wiki admins.

On May 21, 2023, Potatopotato2 stepped down from his position as bureaucrat and left the wiki. Before leaving, he named KamikazePyro as his successor, and KamikazePyro would be promoted to bureaucrat the next day by BattleshipMan.

On May 26, 2023, an infamous user active in several other media franchise fanbases in the FANDOM network, named Rudi10002, made a controversial discussion thread, where he claimed the Bull T. rex from Jurassic Park III and Sharptooth from The Land Before Time were the same individual. This caused an uproar among several discussion goers, who began to tear into Rudi’s theory and question his sanity. However, despite many users providing evidence debunking his theory, Rudi would stubbornly stand by his claims and continue defending it.

On May 28, 2023, Grimlock would reappear under the username DinobotKingFan and attempt to participate in wiki activities. Unfortunately, his obsession with Yaz and the Scorpios rex would become his undoing, as their usage in his post, titled "Jurassic World Explorers Villain Idea", immediately alerted wiki staff of his presence. Grimlock would once again be blocked from the wiki by KamikazePyro.

On June 1, 2023, six days after making his initial thread, Rudi would create a poll to settle the matter regarding his theory once and for all, and after one day of voting, an overwhelming majority of users voted against it. Subsequently, Rudi would be barred from making any further comment on the subject, as per a deal he made with Mightyman64 when he first posted the poll. However, despite this stipulation, Rudi would end up breaking his promise just a few hours later and continue defending his theory, much to the ire of many users. He would also post another theory, this time about a LBT-JP shared universe, which once again caused an uproar among discussion goers before going radio silent. After several days of silence, some began to believe that Rudi had finally given up and learned his lesson. However, this was far from the truth.

On June 3, 2023, BattleshipMan promoted Rex KingYT to content moderator for their outstanding edits and contributions to the wiki.

On June 6, 2023, Dinosaurus1, one of few remaining staff from a year and a half prior, returned to the wiki. However, at around the same time, Rudi would also make his return, after four days of radio silence, and posted two more outlandish threads. The first of these threads claimed that Universal Pictures confirmed his shared LBT-JP universe theory, with Rudi providing a modified screenshot of a tweet made by the official Universal Twitter account on June 1 as his proof, while the second thread claimed that the Jurassic Park III Spino and the "Sailback Sharptooth" from The Land Before Time were the same individual. This resulted in more drama, especially after Rudi began to incorporate 65 and Primeval into his theories, and things soon began to spiral out of control when the drama began to spill into unrelated threads. In an effort to contain the drama, Dragonsaber73 2 began to lock down most of Rudi’s previous posts and delete any subsequent posts and comments he made. During this time, Rudi would go on to create a short-lived post theorizing how the Bull T. rex became the large, quadrupedal theropod in 65 and make several more outlandish comments before he was indefinitely banned by Jwelegendary for his antics. Shortly afterward, most of his posts and comments, including the original "Sharptooth is the Bull T. rex" thread that kickstarted the drama, were deleted before a final culling by the wiki admins deleted his last two remaining comments, thus eliminating his presence from the wiki entirely.

From June 16, 2023 to September 6, 2023, Grimlock would try to participate in wiki activities on six separate occasions, but all of his attempts ended with his alt. accounts being permanently banned from the wiki.

On September 8, 2023, Doz maningas, a user infamous among wiki staff for adding false information and incorrect categories to numerous articles on the wiki for almost two years, was permanently banned from the wiki by BattleshipMan after he was caught creating several non-JP related pages and plagiarizing content off of Wikipedia to fill said pages.

On September 10, 2023, Mightyman64 posted a poll asking if Camp Cretaceous antagonist articles should mention the seasonal role they played throughout the show (e.g., Kash D. Langford being an unseen antagonist in CC Seasons 1-3, main antagonist in Season 4, and secondary antagonist in Season 5). This came about after he found himself engaged in an on-and-off edit war against a user named Rising Subversion on the Daniel Kon article pertaining to the matter during the later half of August, 2023. Rising Subversion had argued against the inclusion of seasonal roles in their edits, citing how repetitive it was and how it could confuse readers into mistaking Daniel as being more influential as a major antagonist in the franchise than he actually is. Therefore, they argued that all CC antagonists should have an overall statement regarding their role in the show rather than stating their seasonal roles. After a day of voting, however, a majority of users sided with Mightyman64 and supported his idea of including seasonal roles on CC antagonist articles. However, despite the results, Rising Subversion expressed their disagreement with it, prompting Mightyman64 to ping KamikazePyro in the late hours of September 17, 2023, almost a week after the poll "ended", to have him mediate and resolve the issue once and for all. The following afternoon, after reviewing the poll's comment section, KamikazePyro sided with Mightyman64, citing that seasonal roles give more detailed information on major antagonists, which is what the wiki strives for. Rising Subversion would express their dissatisfaction with KamikazePyro's verdict following his decision, even going as far as proposing a "no seasonal roles" rule to KamikazePyro on September 19. However, as it stands, the situation, and the edit war, by extension, is considered resolved.

On October 6, 2023, Spinosaurus Andrews Robertsonia brought up the issue regarding article categories in a post, and how articles on the Jurassic Park Wiki, and on many dinosaur-related FANDOM wikis in general, are often cluttered with lots of them. With most of these categories being redundant and/or unnecessary, they suggested that these categories be removed from articles and proposed a rework of the wiki's category assignment system, which would be simple, user-friendly, and keep articles clutter-free of unnecessary categories. Many agreed with Spino's observations and their idea of a reworked category system, and after consulting the Jurassic Park Wiki's Manual of Style and the Prehistoric Park Wiki's Editing Policy for which category types should be kept, Spino would propose part of their reworked category assignment system idea on October 7. The proposal would be positively received by wiki staff members Jwelegendary, Rex KingYT, and Dinosaurs20 and tweaked upon, after Rex KingYT and Dinosaurs20 suggested several changes to the category order that was initially proposed in Spino's post. Freddy jurassic park, BattleshipMan, and KamikazePyro would also express their support for the rework proposal on October 9, 2023, after they all individually stumbled upon Spino's initial post about the issue.

On October 14, 2023, Grimlock would make his twelfth overall appearance on the wiki under the username NoBozoMeKing1984. He would be indefinitely blocked by KamikazePyro at around midday, and most of his comments would end up being deleted. Later that night, following a report made by Antiliun, KamikazePyro would also indefinitely block Grimlock's long-abandoned main account, which wasn't blocked for some reason, after the former brought its unblocked status to his attention.

Concurrent with Grimlock's reappearance, Spinosaurus Andrewsi Robertsonia would post the second part of their proposed rework of the wiki's category system. This time, they focused on the handful of articles focusing on invertebrates featured/associated with the Jurassic Park franchise. However, despite Spino's detailed assessment of the wiki's invertebrate-oriented categories and suggestions on which ones should be removed, Dinosaurs20 would express his reluctance in supporting the second part of Spino's proposal, and the entire rework as a whole this time around, citing the importance of some of the categories mentioned in their assessment and claiming that the rework was "too much" in his opinion. On the other hand, Rex KingYT and BattleshipMan would continue expressing their support of Spino's rework proposal and suggesting changes to the ordering of certain category types. Additionally, they would also begin the process of implementing Spino's Category System Rework by sorting through the wiki's categories and finding which ones should be deleted first once a final consensus on the rework has been reached.

On October 19, 2023, Rex KingYT compiled a list of all of the categories that should be removed in the comment section of Spinosaurus Andrewsi Robertsonia's second post regarding their category system rework proposal.

On November 4, 2023, a kerfuffle between several JP wiki members and Dinopedia members (some of whom were former JP wiki staff) occurred in the Chaos Zone after what started out as someone asking for help turned into a discussion about alleged admin abuse by Dinopedia staff members over the span of four days. Four days earlier, on October 31, 2023, German Kaiserreich had asked 11duckhunt/The Duck's revenge to help him get unblocked on Dinopedia (which he got banned indefinitely from after making some unsavory comments) after failing to appeal his block several times. After 11duckhunt tried and failed, PowerLord23 joined the conversation and offered to help, which was accepted, and while PowerLord got to work on lowering German's block duration, other users started joining the conversation to talk about the state of Dinopedia, such as Walgettosuchus222, BigDumFish99, and Dinopedia admin Savage Almond, after German compared Dinopedia's community with the Solarballs Wiki's and accused the former wiki's admins of admin abuse. However, one of the more vocal users in this discussion was Antiliun, with whom German had a lengthy conversation with on November 2 and November 3, 2023, regarding the conduct of Dinopedia's admins and whether or not their actions in several other blocking incidents, including German's own block, could be considered as admin abuse. Antiliun mostly stayed neutral in his assessment of those incidents throughout their discussion, though some of his comments toward Dinopedia staff members and their conduct were a bit harsh, which some users later misinterpreted them as him agreeing with German's claims of admin abuse. Following a discussion about The dragnor's block, Dinopedia staff member and former JP wiki moderator, Palaeontologica (now operating under the account, Ganimes), joined the conversation to speak on Kelbeam's behalf since the latter was globally blocked at the time but was aware of the discussions going on. He clarified the reasons behind The dragnor's block before he and fellow Dinopedia admin ScaryLookinHobo confirmed that German's block was being reconsidered, though they couldn't guarantee anything would happen. Following this, several other Dinopedia members, such as Andromedus the dragon and Dinopedia admin/former JP Wiki staff member Very Inked/Generic Friendly Ducc (who had since returned from his departure and now operates under the account, Resident friendly Ducc) joined the conversation, though things became a bit tense when they argued against letting German back onto Dinopedia. Ultimately, the kerfuffle fizzled out and ended when Antiliun issued an apology for his harsh comments after Walgettosuchus222 called him out on it (though he later revealed he meant to call out German, instead, and had made a mistake), all the while clarifying why he said what he said, and Ducc, who acknowledged his shortcomings as an admin, decided to try and facilitate some changes to Dinopedia. German's ban on Dinopedia would later be shortened from indefinite to 2 weeks on November 5, 2023, after some discussions. However, several Dinopedians, most notably DinopediaLawyer and The sh**ter., have expressed their displeasure with the decision, with the former posting scrreenshots of German's comments on Dinopedia in the Chaos Zone, which they were later forced to take down after Andromedus told them to do so over on Dinopedia, and the latter going so far as to contact KamikazePyro to demand him to ban German from the JP wiki because of his actions on Dinopedia. Ultimately, nothing significant happened from either Dinopedians' attempts at harassing German, and both users have gone radio silent since the Kurfuffle. German would later have his perma-block reinstated on Dinopedia three months later, on February 11, 2024, after he posted an uncensored image of American rapper Marshall "Eminem" Mather's posterior from the 2002 movie 8 Mile in The Nest.

On November 9, 2023, almost six months after he left the wiki, Potatopotato2 temporarily returned to the wiki and promoted 11duckhunt's school account, The Duck's revenge, to content and thread moderator for a trial run. Although he knew of this fact beforehand, Duck was still surprised by the promotion, as he thought Potato was just only joking about it. His promotion would later be finalized the next day, and Duck would become a full-time moderator on the wiki. Later, on November 14, 2023, Potatopotato2 would give Duck's 11duckhunt/mobile account moderator rights at the latter's request.

On December 6, 2023, Grimlock would make his thirteenth overall appearance on the wiki under the username BrooklynnXMirage. After roleplaying as Autobot Mirage in some of his comments, he would be blocked by BattleshipMan. However, his reappearance caused a stir among wiki discussion-goers, resulting in several Grimlock-related discussions to spring up in the following days, such as a petition to have him globally blocked, and a survival guide by German Kaiserreich outlining what he dubbed "the Grimlockalypse". German would later bring his Grimlockalypse guide to Dinopedia, where he repeatedly posted it in the wiki's off topic thread, The Nest, to the point many users got annoyed by it being repeatedly brought up, and one of the admins on there had to threaten him with a block to get him to stop.

On December 7, 2023, one of Grimlock's alt. accounts, Continue the Bayverse, was discovered by several wiki users. However, despite this fact being obvious, nothing could be done about it since at that point, there was no concrete evidence available that could conclusively prove Continue the Bayverse was Grimlock. However, as the days passed, and Grimlock became more active under his Continue the Bayverse account, he would once again slip back to his previous behavior and become the architect of his own downfall.

On December 13, 2023, after being encouraged by German Kaiserreich and 11duckhunt/The Duck's revenge, PowerLord23 reached out to Potatopotato2 and applied for a moderator position. After consulting with KamikazePyro, Potato would give PowerLord moderator rights two days later, on December 15, 2023, something the former said was "long overdue".

On December 15, 2023, Grimlock would post a revised version of his Camp Cretaceous Sequel Villain backstory and leave a message wall thread on Rex259's message wall under his Continue the Bayverse account, thus confirming what everyone had suspected. However, wiki admins were slow to take action, and Grimlock remained active on the wiki until December 18, 2023, when KamikazePyro finally banned him.

2024[]

On January 3, 2024, following a discussion on Dinopedia political parties in the Chaos Zone, German Kaiserreich and EpicThoradolosaurr7782 decided to create the Dinopedia Theropod Party (initially called the Dinopedia Conservative Party) for the upcoming moderator election happening over on Dinopedia following Gojiraaaaaaaaa's retirement as a Dinopedia moderator, and would later invite AcryAllofan150 to their ranks. However, at the behest of both ScaryLookinHobo and Ganimes, German renamed the political party to the Dinopedia Theropod Party due to the negative and extremely political connotation the original name had.

On January 4, 2024, following a complaint filed by Andromedus the dragon to 11duckhunt and BattleshipMan catching wind of the Dinopedia moderator election discussions happening in the Chaos Zone, German Kaiserreich, speaking for himself and on his fellow Theropod Party members' behalf, moved their election campaign discussion over to Dinopedia's off-topic post, The Nest. However, almost immediately after promising this, the discussion resumed after it failed to continue over in The Nest, and German would try to invite PowerLord23 to the Theropod Party. PowerLord ultimately refused his invitation, citing his personal opposition with idea of political parties in real life and his bad experience with the Dinopedia Stability Party when it was still active as his reasons, and joined the election race as an independent candidate. Following this, German would receive criticism from Savage Almond and Resident friendly Ducc for taking the whole political party thing too seriously, and he would ultimately decide to dissolve the Dinopedia Theropod Party after reading PowerLord's campaign post on Dinopedia, where the latter pointed out how political parties do more harm than good by dividing people into different camps. Afterward, BattleshipMan would issue a warning, telling everyone to stop discussing the Dinopedia mod election in the Chaos Zone, as it has already caused enough problems for other users.

On January 8, 2024, two days after failing to get a response from Potatopotato2, PowerLord23 reached out to KamikazePyro and suggested the idea of going through the wiki's staff team and demoting any inactive members after being inspired by Dinopedia's procedure of demoting their inactive staff members. Although Kamikaze was offline at the time and didn't respond, BattleshipMan agreed with PowerLord's suggestion and suggested they start demoting any wiki staff members who have been inactive for over two years first before figuring things out from there. Kamikaze would agree with the idea the following day, on January 9, 2024, though the issue of demoting bureaucrats prompted PowerLord to reach out to the wiki's representative, KylaraE, for help as only members of Fandom staff can strip bureaucrats of their rights. KylaraE would instruct PowerLord the next day, on January 10, 2024, to have one of the active admins reach out to her and put in the request to demote any staff who has been inactive for over a year, and she would gladly fulfill the request.

On January 9, 2024, retired JP Wiki admin Potatopotato2 announced his departure from FANDOM on Dinopedia. However, he opted not to deactivate his account on the off chance he decides to hop back onto FANDOM to say "hi".

On January 11, 2024, BattleshipMan would request KylaraE to demote all JP wiki admins and bureaucrats who have been inactive for more than a year. However, it would take a little over a month for KylaraE to respond to this request.

On January 17, 2024, German Kaiserreich told an in-real life friend and classmate of his, Impizza123, about Dinopedia. However, he quickly came to regret his decision when Pizza began vandalizing several pages on Dinopedia and would ask 11duckhunt to intervene. While Duck was busy helping Dinopedia admin Nizaluddin deal with Pizza on Dinopedia, German would tell his friend to stop his antics both through his message wall on the JP wiki and during class. However, Pizza refused to listen to him or Nizaluddin's warning and was indefinitely blocked from Dinopedia by the latter after making several more malicious edits. After being blocked from Dinopedia, Pizza raided the Jurassic Park Wiki and vandalized several pages with the phrases "hosting a raid does anyone wants to join" or "this is a raid" on some of these pages. Fortunately, he would be indefinitely blocked by BattleshipMan before he could cause any further damage, and BattleshipMan, after doing a short investigation, would scold German for bringing Pizza to the wiki.

On January 18, 2024, after almost two months of radio silence, Jwelegendary returned to the wiki to explain his sudden disappearance.

On January 25, 2024, the wiki's off-topic thread, The Chaos Zone, was locked for unknown reasons after amassing 33,100 total comments. PowerLord23 unlocked it after being informed by Mimikyutube/MimikBoogTube and 11duckhunt would contact CROCBOI, who was responsible for the Chaos Zone's sudden lockdown, and ask him why he locked down the Chaos Zone. CROCBOI, in both Duck's message wall thread and an earlier thread he made to BattleshipMan, stated he locked the Chaos Zone because he didn't see the point of continuing a thread that was started by an inactive admin. However, his decision to lock the Chaos Zone was criticized by those aware of the situation, as there was no legitimate reason to lock the Chaos Zone aside from the reason he provided.

Around the same time he locked the Chaos Zone, CROCBOI contacted BattleshipMan and voiced his concerns regarding the wiki's current staff team. Some of the wiki's staff members, such as Potatopotato2, Dinosaurus1, and EclipseRaptor, and CROCBOI himself, are either inactive or semi-active, and with most of them being administrators, it decreased the number of active members on the wiki's staff team. He then proposed three admin candidates from the wiki's moderator pool to fill in the vacancy, that being Rex KingYT, Matthaus101, and Thomasterra, given that all three users are the most active moderators on the editing-side of things on the wiki. BattleshipMan would think on CROCBOI's proposal (after asking him why he locked down the Chaos Zone), and ten minutes later, he would promote Rex KingYT to administrator, citing his contributions to the wiki as the reason for his promotion in the wiki's user rights log. Grateful for the unexpected promotion, Rex KingYT promised to continue using his powers to improve the wiki. BattleshipMan would also reach out to Matthaus101 in the late hours of January 25, 2024, to offer him an admin role, citing the need for active staff on the wiki. Matthaus would take up BattleshipMan's offer in the early hours of January 26, 2024, and would be promoted to administrator not long after.

On January 27, 2024, three months after Spinosaurus Andrewsi Robertsonia proposed an overhaul to the wiki's category system, Rex KingYT informed BattleshipMan he would begin reorganizing the categories on several pages, starting with film animals. After doing an overhaul test on the Spinosaurus page and getting BattleshipMan's approval, Rex KingYT proceeded to reorganize the categories on all Spinosaurus-related pages and a few other pages, too.

On February 1, 2024, Rex KingYT proposed the idea of merging movie/novel dinosaurs and characters into one navigation template to BattleshipMan as a way to declutter the navigation section on each page and for better ease of access. BattleshipMan approved of the idea and gave Rex KingYT the green light to create a new template fit for the role. Rex KingYT would then create a new navigation box template for the wiki, Template:FilmCanonSpeciesNavbox.

On February 8, 2024, 11duckhunt discovered that the Jurassic Park Wiki was considered one of the top movie wikis in the entire FANDOM network.

On February 11, 2024, PowerLord23 proposed a new policy: locking off-topic threads. As outlined in his proposition, a warning is to be issued to a thread after 10 consecutive off-topic comments are posted, and should ten more consecutive off-topic comments be posted following the warning, the post is to be locked down. His proposition was accepted by some of the more active members of the wiki staff team. However, Dinosaurus1 pointed out that off-topic comments and threads can easily be deleted or edited, thus nullifying the need for such a policy, but he did find PowerLord's proposition as an interesting starting point in regards to off-topic thread policies here on the wiki. Several non-staff wiki members also put in their two cents, with most of them agreeing and supporting the proposal.

On February 12, 2024, after overwhelming support from most of the active members of the wiki staff team and several non-staff wiki members, PowerLord23's proposed locking off-topic threads policy was implemented into the wiki guidelines under Guideline 2.

On February 22, 2024, a user named DouglassFudge posted a thread asking if the Jurassic Park Wiki is dead. After a brief conversation with several other wiki members, Douglass proceeded to proclaim his true identity as none other than Kelly Eldridge himself, and that he had turned a new leaf in the 2 years after his last confirmed appearance on the wiki. His post would be locked down shortly afterward, and Douglass would continue participating in wiki discussions throughout the day. As he watched the suspected Kelly alt. interact with fellow JP wiki members, 11duckhunt would notice how Douglass's conduct was similar to that of Kelly's, and to further strengthen his suspicions that Douglass was Kelly, Douglass had left a message on Carnotaur's message wall on Dinopedia 11 days prior, where he told the now-inactive former JP Wiki admin-bureaucrat to "come back and finish this". With this evidence, he would ping KamikazePyro to handle the matter. However, Kamikaze would never respond to the ping, as he was likely busy with something else at the time.

On February 23, 2024, PowerLord23 notified KylaraE of Kelly's return as DouglassFudge and requested for the alt. account to be IP-blocked from FANDOM. However, it would take KylaraE three days to finally respond, which by then, the Kelly alt. had already been dealt with.

On February 24, 2024, after behaving rudely in several discussion threads, Kelly's DouglassFudge account was permanently banned by BattleshipMan.

On February 25, 2024, the user TennysonFan was permanently blocked from the wiki by KamikazePyro after it was revealed, through a fan theory post he made earlier in the day for the upcoming Camp Cretaceous sequel series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, to be another one of Grimlock's alt. accounts. The account was previously suspected of being a Grimlock alt. account back in December 2023, around the same time Grimlock's Continue the Bayverse account was discovered. However, Grimlock managed throw everyone off at the time by associating the account with the Ben 10 franchise instead of Transformers, as he usually did.

On February 26, 2024, the Jurassic Park Wiki's representative, KylaraE, finally responded to BattleshipMan's inactive admin demotion request and PowerLord23's report on Kelly's reappearance. For the former's request, KylaraE would demote former admins/admin-bureaucrats Mjmannella, Collector1, Animalman57, and BastionMonk for inactivity while for the latter, she would globally block and IP block Kelly's latest alt. account, DouglassFudge.

On March 12, 2024, another one of Grimlock's alt. accounts was banned by KamikazePyro after he posted a revision of his creature prediction list for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.

On March 14, 2024, Gojipedia's wiki representative, Nightsilver, temporarily locked the Chaos Zone after several users had a lengthy discussion on the abysmal state of Gojipedia in the thread. While the identity of the user who reported the discussions happening in the Chaos Zone, or the reason why Gojipedia's wiki representative was even moderating discussions on the JP Wiki in the first place, remains a mystery, Nightsilver would quickly reverse her decision and unlock the Chaos Zone less than a minute after locking it, though a thread BigDumbFish99 found and took a screenshot of on March 17, 2024, likely explains the second question.

On March 19, 2024, following multiple instances of fan speculation and false information being inserted onto articles, and a discussion about the canonicity of the names "The Medium One" and "The Small One" given to two of the Velociraptors featured in the 1993 film, the wiki's staff team decided to readdress and reiterate the wiki's stance on fan-made and head-canon content on the wiki.
