Trivia[]
- Many of the default skins for the dinosaurs in the game appear to be based on their film portrayals.
- Tyrannosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Baryonyx, Carnotaurus, Allosaurus, Stygimoloch, Sinoceratops, and Indoraptor are based on their Fallen Kingdom versions.
- Velociraptor, Triceratops, Gallimimus, Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Apatosaurus, and Indominus are based on their Jurassic World versions.
- Spinosaurus, Corythosaurus, Pteranodon, and Ceratosaurus are based on their Jurassic Park III versions.
- Parasaurolophus, Compsognathus, and Pachycephalosaurus are based on their Lost World versions.
- Dilophosaurus is based on its Jurassic Park version.
- Metriacanthosaurus, Edmontosaurus, and Suchomimus are based on their Islanublar.jurassicworld.com versions, however the Edmontosaurus species in the game is E. regalis whereas the species on the website was E. annectens.
- Jurassic World Evolution and Jurassic World Evolution 2 are considered to be successors of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.
- Initially, dinosaurs never attacked park rangers, despite it being depicted in the first trailer. This is due to a contractual agreement between Frontier games and a car manufacturer that helped with development, although this changed in Update 1.12.
- The song played through the ranger jeep radio is "Las Gaviotas". This is the same song that is played in Jurassic Park when Dennis Nedry meets Lewis Dodgson.
- The only creatures from the Jurassic Park franchise that do not appear in this game are the Dimorphodon and the Mosasaurus.
- The Mosasaurus and Dimorphodon appear in the sequel, as well as various other creatures introduced later on in the franchise.
