Lapparentosaurus is a genus of eusauropod dinosaur that lived during the Middle Jurassic in what is now Madagascar. The name is a honour to a French paleontologist called Albert-Félix de Lapparent. It was first described as a new species of Bothriospondylus in 1895, B. madagascariensis. By 1986, it became a separate genus thank to José Fernando Bonaparte. There is a holotype, but we don't have a good description and diagnosis of this dinosaur. It shouldn't be confused with two other sauropods who received the former name, Vouivria and Narindasaurus. Its place in the sauropod branch is unknown, as it was once suggested to be a brachiosaurid or a titanosaur. Recent researchs show that Lapparentosaurus is similar to Cetiosaurus, and thus may be from it's family tree branch.

Lapparentosaurus is mentioned in the description of Cetiosaurus in the Dinopedia section of Jurassic Park Institute.
