Lessemsaurus is an extinct genus of prosauropod dinosaur from the Late Triassic in what is now Argentina. It coexisted in the formation of Los Colorados alongside Riojasaurus, but it belong to the Lessemsauridae family. Another prosauropod that was described by paleontologist José Bonaparte, it was named after Don Lessem, a writer of popular science books. It should be noted that this creature was made public in 1999.
Despite its size, Lessemsaurus has a predator: Fasolasuchus. This crocodilian that resembles Rauisuchus is big enough to attack an adult individual. Meanwhile, juveniles may have fallen prey to other predators like Zupaysaurus.
