Lycaenops was a genus of mammal-like reptile (Therapsid) from the late mid-Permian to early late-Permian period. They lived in modern day South Africa. Lycaenops was a carnivore and about 1 metre (3 feet) long. Like the modern day wolves, Lycaenops had a long and slender skull, with a set of dog-like fangs set into both its upper and lower jaws (from which it takes its name).

Jurassic Park Series
Lycaenops never appears in the novels or the movies. It does appear in some toy lines.
Toy lines
A figure of Lycaenops appears in the Jurassic Park Series 2 toy line. The toy is a lot bigger than its real-life counterpart compared to the human figures.
In the Chaos Effect toy line a figure appears of a Tyrannops, which is a fictional mix of a Tyrannosaurus rex and a Lycaenops. It has a cool attack action saber strike fangs to clamp human and small dinosaur figures in its jaws.
It was also featured in the Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs Hybrids in Mexico.
