Maria was a Sinoceratops who was found in a cage by Darius, Sammy and Brooklynn at an abandoned veterinary clinic and appeared in the second season of the animated TV series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. She was named by Sammy Gutierrez.

Physical Appearance[]

Maria looks much like the other Sinoceratops on Isla Nublar. However, she lacks the orange markings (usually found by the yellow patterns of the frill) and her underside looks more orange.

Personality[]

Maria is shown to be somewhat pessimistic, as in her debut appearance, she isn’t quite fast to get to her herd.

Season 2[]

The Art of Chill[]

At some point before the Jurassic World Incident, Maria was brought to the Jurassic World Veterinary Station for unknown reasons. There, she was put into a cage to be examined. When the Indominus rex escaped from her paddock and most of the people on the island were evacuated, Maria was abandoned at the clinic together with a group of Stegosaurus, a Parasaurolophus and the Baryonyx Grim.[1]

She was later found by the abandoned campers Darius Bowman, Sammy Gutierrez, and Brooklynn, who set her free. At first she didn't leave the station probably because she had been so used to being there. She escaped with the herd of Stegosaurus when Grim's allies, Chaos and Limbo, attacked the clinic and Grim was set free by Darius.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Maria's fate is unknown. Either she was taken off the island with the other dinosaurs and taken to the Lockwood Manor, was bought by a businessman, escaped and now roams free in the world, or she died during the Eruption of Mt. Sibo on Isla Nublar.
  • The illness that Maria was suffering from is unknown, but she was most likely cured.
  • In the episode, "The Art of Chill", Darius Bowman said "If we let her out…" implying that she’s a female.
  • While she is fleeing from the Baryonyx along with the Stegosaurs, Maria’s colour scheme is different, and is the same colour as the individuals seen in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This is just an error in the animation.
