Mastodonsaurus is a large type of amphibian that lived during the Triassic period. It could reach lengths of up to 6 metres (20 feet) long and was identifiable by a set of small tusks on its lower jaw. These tusks fitted through small openings in the upper jaw when the mouth was closed.
