Megistotherium is an extinct creodont that lived in the Early Miocene epoch some 23 million years ago which is closely related to Hyaenodon. Since the Megistotherium was big and heavy, many scientists think it was slow and clumsy.[1] There was only one other carnivore that could rival the Megistotherium in size, the Andrewsarchus.[2]

- Due to being placed in the Cavern type, Megistotherium in Jurassic World: The Game uses the Andrewsarchus animations unlike Jurassic Park: Builder, where it had the Smilodon animations instead. This is more accurate, though, due to Megistotherium being a hyaenodontid, looking more like and being more related to Hyaenodon rather than any cats.
- In Jurassic World: The Game, the trivia facts say that Megistotherium is related to hyenas and hunted Woolly mammoths, when in reality it was a creodont and died out 23 million years before the Woolly mammoth evolved.
