The megrim (Lepidorhombus whiffiagonis), also known as the megrim sole, whiff, or Cornish sole, is a species of flatfish that lives in the northeast Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Found between 100 and 700 meters (300 and 2,300 feet) below sea level, it is caught commercially by some countries.
The megrim is a predator of small fishes, squids, and crustaceans that is usually found over a sandy or muddy sea floor. It is in turn a prey for sharks, seals, and large cods.
