Miragaia is a genus of stegosaur discovered in Portugal and named after the parish near where its remains were found. Its most distinguishing feature was its unusually long neck. Featuring up to seventeen vertebrae, Miragaia not only had more neck bones than other members of its family (Stegosaurus, by comparison, had twelve vertebrae), but also more than many members of the sauropod family. It is possible that Miragaia used its long neck to reach higher food than other stegosaurs, or as part of courtship display.

Miragaia is a common dinosaur in Jurassic World: Alive. It lacks the characteristic long neck, though this is likely due to having the same animations as the other stegosaurs in the game.
