The moose (Alces alces) or elk (used in Eurasia, despite the name belonging to another species of deer) is the largest extant deer. Its habitats are boreal forests, temperate or mixed forests, and subarctic climates of the Northern Hemisphere. It is the tallest, and the second-largest, land animal in North America, falling short only to the American bison in body mass. The antlers of the adult males are broad and palmate. The moose is regarded as one of Canada's symbols. This is where the greatest population coincidentally resides.

The diet of this animal is both terrestrial and aquatic plants, with wood being its primary diet in winter. Predators include wolves, brown bears, and wolverines (rarely, though may take calves). Orcas also prey on mooses if they swim in the ocean, but this is rare too.

Jurassic Park[]

For a comparison of the intelligence of Velociraptor, it is recalled that zoo specialists know that some species of animals were capable of escaping their enclosures. Monkeys and elephants could open doors, and wild boars can raise latches thanks to their noses. However, it also goes the same for the giant armadillo and the moose, who was skillful with its muzzle like an elephant with its trunk.

Jurassic World: The Game[]

The moose is mentioned in the Evo 4 fact of Cervalces (where it possesses features similar to a moose), the Evo 1 fact of Eucladoceros (where it is slightly smaller than a moose), and the Evo 3 fact of Synthetoceras (where it is similar in shape and size to a moose).
