Nanotyrannus (meaning "dwarf tyrant") is an extinct genus of tyrannosaurid dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous period. Some paleontologists believe that it is simply a juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex, while others believe that it is its own genus.
However, paleontologist Peter Larson believes that Nanotyrannus is a valid species because the brain case shape different to T-rex's brain and the arms of Nanotyrannus are a half longer than T-rex's arms since arm don't shrink as they grew.
